large amount oftransaction log files Posted: 23 Apr 2007 03:39 AM PDT Thanks Neil Is ALL activity logged through these logs? eg if a userA send userB a 10mb email does that add up to 10mb in the logs? What happens then if UserB moves that message into a sub folder in their a/c? is that another 10mb Thanks again gr "Neil Hobson [MVP]" <silversands.co.uk> wrote in message news:phx.gbl... |

Any probelm with .net 3.0 and Exchange 2003? Posted: 19 Apr 2007 08:20 PM PDT "Mark Arnold [MVP]" <org> wrote in message news:com... Thanks. I just figure since 3.0 is out, somewhere down the road some utility, A/V interface update, monitoring tool etc. will probably require it. We've had that happen on other systems; when the .Net framework first came out nothing needed it on a server, then gradually as installed various tools we ended up having to install it on the systems. If it doesn't hurt, I'd prefer to install it now, just in case. I just want to make sure it's not going to break anything. - Mike O. |
Posted: 19 Apr 2007 01:50 PM PDT You'd have to evict a node first. What kind of emergency situation is anticipated that would require this? John Fullbright "Russ Kaufmann [MVP]" <com> wrote in message news:com... |

Exchange/Outlook/Calendaring question Posted: 19 Apr 2007 06:59 AM PDT Why don't you set her up so that her boss' calendar is opened automatically when she starts her copy of Outlook? With the proper access rights, she'll be able to add and delete items and see all other items no matter where the come form (although I think details are not displayed for items marked 'private'). Default address list has been changed Posted: 19 Apr 2007 12:32 AM PDT Hello Henry, I got this problem by all of our 80 users, when I have a new user or a user logs in on a new computer. After that, they can change the setting in Outlook them selfs. I checked the public folders after your reply, but can;t find a folder that has the same (duplicated name.) I don't think this is a contacts folder within a mailbox because all of our users got this problem. (I used a clean install of office without a .MST file) "Henry" wrote: |
Can fax via Exchange through Outlook but not Outlook Web Access Posted: 18 Apr 2007 02:52 PM PDT On Wed, 18 Apr 2007 14:52:02 -0700, Mike Cisar <microsoft.com> wrote: I thought that was an Outlook/XP feature that interacted with the fax service in SBS? Posted: 17 Apr 2007 02:08 AM PDT A page fault occurs each time a page is requested and it is not in the database buffers. If you have the /3gb switch with 4GB or RAM, you have 898mb of database buffers. The database page faults in and of themselves only reflect the nature of read activity. Client based indexing, search programs, an excessive number of views, or non-cached mapi sessions (read blackberry) will increase the number of page faults (generally anything that increases the number of read requests for pages that are not already in cache). You should check to see if you have any database page fault stalls. A database page fault stall occurs when all the pages in the buffers are locked and nothing can be unloaded in order to load a new page. This value should never exceed 0. If you are only seeing page faults and not seeing any page fault stalls, then you should be asking what is generating all the read activity. It could just be that you are placing too much load on a server and should consider scaling out. John Fullbright "AndyGt" <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:com... |
