I have set my own tab at 1.5" and 7". How do I get rid of the default tabs so that I do not have to tab through them to get to my tabs

When I select text and press delete nearby pictures also disappear, but not if I delete by putting cursor at start of text and use delete

Why is it that when I select a block of text and press Del nearby pictures also disappear.  this doesn't happen when I place the insertion point at the start of the text and continually press Del.

Word 2010 problem with resaving

This is my first help question ever.  When I pull up a Word document, change it and then try to resave with a new name, the program closes down but tells me first they will notify me with a solution.  No solution has come to me.  I am now having problems with my Excel program.  I can not open and then resave it.  I have Office Home and Business 2010.

microsoft office starter vanished from my programs

My computer came preloaded with microsoft office 2010. I  have a toshiba with windows 7. I had the computer 1 year. I finally wen't to use microsoft office a window came up. I clicked on microsoft office starter, it said it was already preinstalled on my computer. I granted changes to microsoft to finish installtion of 2010?  although it was already on my computer. Eventually office 2010 starter opened. I used it for a document and closed it. Later I tried to use it again. When I clicked on office 2010 it states microsoft officer starter 2010 is already installed on my computer. It says to click on all programs at the start menu and it should be there, but it isn't. Microsoft excel starter is though. What happened to the microsoft office starter that was pre-installed on my computer. I'm so tired of buying expensive computers that come preloaded with microsoft this or that but the programs always stop working  or you have to purchase them again through microsoft.

Creating a new Word document always has old text in it

Every time I try to create a new document, I keep getting an older document instead of a new blank document.  The same document opens every time that I open MS Word as well.  I've tried saving this doc, but it keeps calling it Document 1 - MS word non-commercial use.  What do I do?  I have MS Word 2010 and Windows 7.  Thanks.

Problem Sending Command to Program

Operating on an HP Pavilllion P-7 with Windows 7.  Trying to open an existing word document I get a blank word doc and an error message that says "There was a problem sending the command to the program." How do I get rid of this annoying situation. The documents open fine when I open Word first and then call them ,up in the "Open" box.

Word Starter 2010 cannot be opened. Try again later or repair the product in the Control Panel.

office force close

I'm using a Samsung laptop (NP300e5z...), I installed 3 type of Microsoft Office, and I got the same problems...
The application is force closing when I open a word document or tryin to enable edit mod on it.
This ain't happen when I open a powerpoint file, or any other.
What to do?

I just purchased a new laptop.  I am not into big word programs or excel, etc.  All I want is to be able to create a word document.

How do I make shapes in Word stay in its place within the image if I move or resize the image?

When adding shapes in a Word doc, how do I get the shape layout to move with the image if I resize the picture or move it?

For example, I take a screenshot of a paragraph from a website. I then highlight a sentence using a circle, but then resize the screenshot but the circle does not keep its place. Which option or how do I get it to stay in its place?

EVERY TIME I copy/paste in Word 2010 it causes the program to crash

I have HUGE papers due for Graduate School and can't take it anymore!!

WHY does Word 2010 CRASH EVERY TIME I try to copy and/or paste even the SMALLEST amount of material??!!  It simply stops working, sends me that ridiculous error message, and crashes.  PC's SUCK I NEVER have this problem on a MAC!

Help??

Outlook contacts in label print not displayed

Hello,

I have issue with mass printing of addresses on labels in MS Word 2010 on Windows 7 - I need to import addresses from Outlook contacts and let print on labels.
Everything works fine according the instruction from http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2003-word/why-doesnt-label-print-what-i-see/a479c3c2-331e-4d8f-a830-4aa757e8d94f .
Just when the importing of contacts finishes, the page in MS Word is blank.

Can somebody advise about this?

Fixing Paragraphs Indents How To?

I have documents where the paragraphs are indented. I want to flush it all to the right. However, when I do this it does not work with select all, paragraph align left . I am using the backspace or delete space button to get the sentence to move over to the left. It's time consuming. Is their a way to do this all at once for the entire document? 
 Here is an example of what I want to fix.

     In issuing the injunction, U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan in Manhattan ordered Chevron to post a $21.8 million bond.
     Though he noted that the Lago Agrio plaintiffs, or LAPs, would have preferred a bond with at least four more digits, Kaplan said bonds are not meant to secure judgment collection.
     "It is simply to protect the LAP representatives against any injury they may suffer if they are enjoined for a period from seeking to enforce that judgment and the injunction ultimately proves to have been inappropriate - in other words, to ensure payment of any damages caused by the delay in enforcement," he wrote.
     The 2nd Circuit struck this injunction down in September 2011 and called it "radical" in a January 2012 opinion.
     About a month later, Patton Boggs filed a federal complaint against Chevron in New Jersey, saying that Kaplan's orders "incapacitated" it from trying to enforce the judgment for their clients in Ecuador, whom the firm names in court papers as "los Afectados," Spanish for the Affected Ones.

I want to create a table with a header that repeats at page breaks, but I want the header to be slightly different on the continuation pages.

For example, the header may say "Table 5", but I want the header in the continuation pages to say "Table 5 (continued)".   I want to be able to do this without breaking the table up into smaller tables.   I am using Microsoft Word 2007, by the way.  

Word document not retaining outline formatting.

My document is not retaining its formatting (decimal outline formatting). It looks fine when I open it on my computer, but when I send it out it does not retain the outline formatting, even though it is the other person's default template.
