Glary Utilities or Crap Cleaner -- which registry cleaner is saferfor Windows 7 x64?

I used to use a registry cleaner regularly on XP and never had a
problem. But the one I used to use doesn't work on Windows 7 x64,
or at least, I wouldn't trust trying it. CrapCleaner and Glary
Utilities seem to have been updated for x64 systems. I like
keeping my registry free of junk, as part of my general policy to
get rid of as many unnecessary files as possible. The first time I
clean a registry there is always a huge amount of junk that comes
out. But like you, I'm a bit nervous about cleaning the registry
for the first time in Windows 7.

Thanks. That's why I think it is the old mbr partition and am wondering
why it has a drive letter.

This laptop is also a HP. Now that you mention it I do not see where
they have the restore partition. Not a problem because I have multiple
image backups and created the restore CDs. Just curious.
