Upon opening a document, I can only see the codes.....no values.  How do I change this back?  None of my docProperties update.

When in outline mode, each subsequent subheading will not indent or hanging indent properly as I restart numbering for that subheading

JPEG Image Won't Stay with Paragraph in MS Word 2010

Hi, Forum. I havea jpeg that I've inserted into a doc. I want it to stay next to the paragraph that it relates to. Then, if and when more text is added above that paragraph,  I want the image to move down with it. Instead, new text pushes older text past my Jpeg, which stays in place. And consequently, the JPEG is next to words it doesn't fit. How can I fix it to the specific paragraph? I should add I'm trying to have the image off to the side of the page, rather than "in line" above or below the paragraph it illustrates.

crossreferencing end note

I have been using endnote for referencing  in vancover style, and i' ve been using the cross reference option as well. But, as i insert cross reference, i ve to "control click" to see the endnote for which i ve done cross referencing. Now, can someone please tell me if there is an option to make the inserted cross reference of endnote to be visible at the same place, not after  the"contol click".

Hello,

 

I'm trying to accomplish something via a Mail Merge and not sure if it is possible.

 

I want to use Mail Merge to generate meeting agendas.

 

Imagine a database with information like below:

 

1/8/12    Meeting Topic      Presenter 1      Duration 1

1/8/12    Meeting Topic 2   Presenter 2      Duration 2

1/20/12  Meeting Topic 3    Presenter  3     Duration 3

1/20/12  Meeting Topic 4    Presenter 4      Duration 4

 

 

So I'd like it to generate 2 pages for me (one for each date) and then dump the appropriate agenda contents onto each page.

 

I have the database connection setup fine, just need to figure out if Word can do this. Possible, or do I need to teach myself Access?

I wish to transfer the file containing the quick parts information from one computer to another. The transferee is running 10 on win 7 The receiver is running word 10 on XP professional. Have tied lots of things to no avail. Info seems sparse.

When I start word it opens in a business card template. How can I change it to open in a blank document?

the BIG problem of mini toolbar in word 2013 !!

Hi guys

 

i've installed office 2013 recently and desperately i couldn't find the same mini toolbar in word 2013 that i have been accousted with in Word 2010.

the PROBLEM is that i am a translator and often i must "CENTER" some titles and wordy contents but despite dear word 2010 in new version ther is no center option in mini toolbar (it just appears when i right click in a table but not in normal) and with all my searches i couldn't find any way for customising mini toolbar :( .

now the question is how can i have my lovely center option in mini toolbar of Word 2013 and WHY IN THE WORLD Microsoft has not consider the option of customising mini toolbar???

Microsoft Office Package for 3 Computers

So my mum bought me and my sister netbooks for our christmas last year and also bought Microsoft office 2010 which was for 3 computers, once for each of us plus my mum. However, i began university and need to get a laptop practical for this, is there anyway i can delete the office from my netbook and make it available on the disc so i can put it on my new laptop?
(it was a package with not just word but mulit office tools such as excel etc.)

Everytime I try to print an envelope I get a message error "Number must be between 1 and 31". What does that mean??

I don't know what else to say. That's the problem.  I don't know what that means. I tried to copy 'print screen' to show you, but it's not working. I can email it, if there's an email I can send.  Please help!

Hi,

 

 i bought a pc recently, with pre-installed microsoft office, then bought office 2010 license, and activated it. all was well until today morning, (just one month) i couldnt open any word/excel document. if i try it says,"preparing to install" then after a few seconds"satal error during installation " i have tried uninstallling microsoft office unsuccessfully.

 

 please help.

i bought microsoft package 2010 a few days ago now microsoft word stopped working but other applications in  that package are working.i cannot access any document of word now.what should i do

windows media player cannot play this file. the player might not support the file type to might not support the codec that was used to compress the files.
