Watermark is stuck; unable to remove

Posted: 19 Dec 2012 08:26 AM PST

I have a document created in MS Word 2007. I originally added a "DRAFT" watermark to the document.  I've now gone in and selected "Remove Watermark".  It removed it from every page except page 2, which has my Table of Contents (TOC).

I've tried deleting page 2, including the TOC, but then the Draft appears on the new Page 2.

I've tried deleting page 2, including the TOC, then inserting a blank page & recreating the TOC.   It still appears.

How can I turn of the watermark function.  It's driving me crazy!!!

Error: Word 2010 can not be opened. Already went to control panel as advised & clicked change. Still same error message

Posted: 13 Dec 2012 07:02 PM PST

Hi

I bought and downloaded Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student.

When I try to open Word, the following error message is shown:

''Click to Run Application Manager, Microsoft Word 2010 can not be opened. Try again or repair the product in the control panel''.

I have gone into Control Panel, Programs and features where the 2 following MS Office programs are:

Microsoft Office Click to Run 2010   &    Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student

When I click on Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student, I click change. A message appears with ''Repair Click to Run Manager, Would you like to Repair?''. Here I have selected to repair and also to repair with all user settings deleted.

In both cases it says MS Word has been successfully repaired, and then when I try to open Word, then the same error message comes up!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have any other ideas on how I can resolve this?

Appreciate your help

Cheers, Steve

For the record I have an Acer Aspire One 521 netbook (Windows 7).

My macro won't work properly in word 2010

Posted: 13 Dec 2012 05:50 AM PST

I have always used a Macro for quickly printing documents which have copies printed from different printer trays (eg Tray 2 one copy, Tray 1 one copy).  The macro always worked perfectly in word 2007.  In word 2010 when a write the macro it works perfectly once but then fails to recognise the printer default tray change next time it is run (eg the macro says to start with Tray 2 for one copy and then change to Tray 1 for one copy but after the first time of use it just prints all copies on Tray 1).  Does anyone have any ideas?

Would I also have issues with macros by inserting these items into Word documents?

Mangal Fonts and Tunga Fonts in (MS Home and Student 2010) Word 2010 not getting converted into PDF

Why do I get a totally blank PDF file whenever I try to convert any (Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010, Version: 14.0.6029.1000) Word document file containing either Mangal Fonts (Hindi) and Tunga Fonts (Kannada) into a PDF file (by using Adobe Acrobat X Standard - English, Version: 10.1.4, Program File Size: 1790 MB, Complete/Full Version) after formatting and reinstalling all the necessary software / softwares (Microsoft Windows XP, Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 3 and Windows XP Service Pack 3, Version: 20080414-031525, Program File Size: 9.08 MB)?

http://forums.adobe.com/message/4917700

I'm using

01) Microsoft Windows XP, Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 3

02) Computer: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00 GHz 3.00 GHz, 504 MB of RAM

03) Windows XP Service Pack 3, Version: 20080414-031525, Program File Size: 9.08 MB

04) Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010, Version: 14.0.6029.1000, Product ID: 82503-388-0792296-26607, Program File Size: 490 MB

05) Adobe Acrobat X Standard - English, Version: 10.1.4, Program File Size: 1790.00 MB, Complete/Full/All Version/Features has/have been installed

06) Windows Internet Explorer 8, Version: 20090308.140743, Program File Size: 4.20 MB

Any Word 2010 document file that has been converted into any PDF File unfortunately does not show either the Mangal (Hindi) Fonts or the Tunga (Kannada) Fonts.

The PDF file will unfortunately become/remain totally/fully/completely blank.

When I convert an Excel Workbook having the Tunga Fonts (Kannada) to/into a PDF File, some of the Tunga fonts in the PDF file are legible and some are unfortunately illegible (get superimposed / overwritten on each other).

Perhaps I may get the same result if I try to convert an Excel Workbook having the Mangal Fonts (Hindi) to/into a PDF File with some Mangal fonts being/becoming legible and the rest being/becoming illegible (getting superimposed / overwritten on each other).

Computers have insurance. MS has a replacement policy if
you purchase the software from anyone but the

from a vendor, Dell et.al., when you can purchase the

your CDs can be replaced. Dell doesn't tell you that when
you purchase your software in good faith.

If you Office came with yr sys, as an OEM copy then I'm afraid licence is
tied to origonal sys and is not transferable. - It may even be that the OEM
supplier has configured the install to prevent it installing on anything
other than origonal.
Or it may be simply a question of you entering the wrong key or missreading
it.

We recommend installation of service packs to ensure that your system stays
secure and to prevent crashes. Users who have opted in to Microsoft "Error
Reporting" send data to us about their crashes. We then fix the bugs which
cause crashes most often and push out these fixes in Service Packs.

As it turns out, the list is a bit smaller for XP.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290540
There are generally three rules for upgrading to Office XP:
a.. Office 97 suites and Office 2000 suites are the only valid upgrade
products for the Office XP suites. You cannot use the Academic Edition of
Office 97 or Office 2000 as a qualifying product.
b.. Office 97 stand-alone products and Office 2000 stand-alone products
are valid upgrade products for the Office XP stand-alone products.*
c.. Office 97 suites and Office 2000 suites are valid upgrade products for
the Office XP stand-alone products only if the Office XP stand-alone product
is included in the corresponding Office 97 suite or Office 2000 suite*.

Have you tried opening each of the apps by using their icon. Do this first because a small install is run to
create the hkey current user section of the registry. then try double clicking the docs

I have tried that option, and no different still can't access my files. I do also get the same error as the post above me with the Excel documents. Then on top of it I get warning when I shut down Word that states changes have been made to the template normal and trys to make me save the changes. the office custom installation wizard to pickup the

setting custom directories, configuring outlook, lots of
great stuff. It even saves stuff like changing macro

And of course, here is the download page:

You have probably been given a paper version of this manual by your isp,
if not, download it to your Documents folder and read it using xpdf.

The manual is directed to Windows users, but it is clear that it is a
combined dsl modem and single port router, using an ethernet connection
and dhcp. This is a fairly standard set-up for ethernet dsl modems.
The lan with dhcp connection is the default setup in most modern
distributions of linux.

If you are running the modem on a windows/linux dual boot machine and
your isp's installer has already set up the modem for windows, it does
not again have to be set up for linux. In that case, you simply have
to set up your linux system for a lan connection using plain vanilla
dhcp to get a private ip address from the router.

As you did not say what distribution of linux is installed in your
machine, I cannot say what sort of gui configuration facility is used.
In Mandrake, you would use drakconnect, choose a lan connection and
choose automatic ip and let the rest of the questions default.
Probably your set-up will be somewhat similar as your distribution no
doubt has a gui facility for setting up network connections.

If you post the name of your linux distribution to this thread, perhaps
someone can be more specific.

Setting up the modem to use an adsl connection is done by using a
browser to access the modem's firmware. Simply open a browser and
enter the private ip address of the firmware into the browser's
location line. (The firmware's location is http://192.168.1.1)
Then enter your username and password as set out in the manual and then
answer the firmware's questions, giving it the settings as told to you
by your internet service provider.

Can you give some detail as to your network configuration? Is CRM running on
a domain controller, are the clients part of the same domain?

If you open a dos prompt from the client and type: nslookup <servername>
does it resolve to the IP of the server?

John.

svhost.exe: A CRM-related File?

Walt - I appologize for having read your previous post too
quickly - I did not catch that we were talking about two
different files.

Anyway, I did a quick search and found:

http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_100530.htm

That should get you pointed in the right directory for
removing the worm.

Good luck!

Paul,

This is something that you need a 3rd party product like c360 to fix.

Install Sales for Outlook Client

Posted: 30 Jan 2004 05:58 AM PST

Niklas,

You actually need to be logged in as the user who will use the
application. The Sales for Outlok client does not support multiple
user profiles, so it ties to the account that is currently in use.

You will need to uninstall the s/w and the install it again under the
proper user.

Outlook client synchronisation

Posted: 29 Jan 2004 07:10 PM PST

Chris,

It depends on where those activities were created. If you create
activities in the Outlook client, then they wil immediately appear in
Outlook as well as CRM. (assumining it's a Task or Appointment).

If the activity is created in the Web client or through workflow, it
won't sync to Outlook until you go offline. The same applies for
contacts and the Outlook contact folder.

As for the errror you hit, it could have been corrupt data or just an
intermittent problem.

HTH,
Matt

SDK get fields and attributes

The XSD is static, I need to also get the added user custom fields.

As for type, I need to know the field type string, picklist, bool...

I then can get the picklist values to populate a combobox when needed.

I am sure they have this problem with other mail and not only yours. We are
a WG reseller and see a lot of this.

I would bet that they also have the same problem with any attachments sent
from a Mac unless someone has already addressed this. The WG defaults are
too tight.
