iexplorer.exe memory usage huge Posted: 27 Apr 2004 12:37 PM PDT Gary, Thanks. I had already done all of that, she did have some spyware which was removed (not to say that she hasn't gotten more.) We are quite diligent on the virus front, but spyware is a bit trickier to control. I will take your advice and try again to clean any extraneous stuff off and report back. Jason etc........check hiding, also run up, and make sure message to activity. |
MIssing Standard Crystal Reports Posted: 27 Apr 2004 11:33 AM PDT you need a tool from MBS to republish your reports. Only way to get this is to log a support call. Here are detils in case you need them Contact Microsoft CRM Support by dialing our support number (888-477-7877) or logging a case via the web, at http://mbs.microsoft.com/support if you are an existing Microsoft Business Solutions customer or partner. If you are using Microsoft CRM from a Microsoft MSDN subscription, then you should contact Microsoft CRM Support by using one of the phone numbers or email support options at the following link: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;OfferProPhone. <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:4f9e01c42c8b$6ef060e0$gbl... |
Posted: 27 Apr 2004 10:22 AM PDT The activitytype value controls whether or not it will sync with Outlook. Only Appointments & Tasks will sync with the Outlook Appointments & Tasks. The other types will not sync with Outlook. What I had meant to ask about was the Schema definiation for mapping properties to the Outlook task. As implied here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp? url=/library/en-us/CrmSdk1_2/htm/v1d2objectschemas.asp there should be a Task Activity as there is an Email Activity or an Appointment Actvity. My question is is the Activity class and its associated Schema what Outlook would consider a "Task" if so then Why is the documentation incorrect and why haven't they fixed it? Posted: 27 Apr 2004 03:01 AM PDT I was not aware of this company so thanks for pointing it out. Of course another option is to develop the controls yourself. Not as difficult as you may think. "D Bolak" <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:com... ? |
Posted: 27 Apr 2004 02:41 AM PDT The only way to do this would be to create the new activities in a different table and link somehow back to CRM. A number of companies have developed solutions like this. As said this feature has been mentioned as a possible for the next crm release although as always nothing is guaranteed until it ships. Posted: 26 Apr 2004 02:49 PM PDT Try sending another email and check again right away on the server. There MSCRM will log details about the error there. Typically, there is a connection issue between CRM & Exchange, but without the specific error, it's tought to help. Posted: 26 Apr 2004 12:26 PM PDT Based on the verbage John supplied, using the SDK would be allowed in this situation. The SDK documentation has samples of how to create records (no specific lead creation examples, but they're no different than other objects). Posted: 25 Apr 2004 04:03 PM PDT Michael; IE has security settings that allow for the users' windows credentials to be passed to web sites as authenticaion (Tools-->Internet Options-->Security-->Custom-->User Authentication). If you get your users to the point where they can connect to the CRM via a browser without being challenged, then you should not have problems when installing the SFO client. Email not working. Fails with error and Event ID 2 Posted: 25 Apr 2004 02:11 PM PDT Well, one other option to rule out a IIS config issue: try browsing to http://crmservername//MSCRMConnector/ICrmEmailDispatchSDL.SRF Sometimes the base files returns an error when trying to browse to it. This one should return a SOAP message. If you get an error, please respond with the exact error number and message. Crystal Report LICENCE ERROR and FIREWALL Posted: 23 Apr 2004 10:09 AM PDT I solve it ! It's a quite difficoult to explain but I think it could be interesting (for sys-admin and for Microsoft). The problem occurs when the crm server is in a Lan A protected by a firewall and some users are in a Lan B protected by a second Firewall. The two Lan are connected by Internet. The internal crmserver name is different from the external (public) crmserver name. With the standard configuration only users in LanA and Internet can access the CRM. Changing the IIS autentication method adding "base autentication-non cript" users in LanB can access the CRM; but if they try to open a report a "Crystal Licence" error occurs. If you want to correct the error you have to edit the file hosts adding this: 127.0.0.1 www.crmserver-publicaddressname.com I don't know why, but it works ! Enjoy. Sebastiano. Posted: 23 Apr 2004 08:36 AM PDT Did you create the website "CRM" in IIS before installing CRM on the SBS? SBS uses Sharepoint Services and the company intranet uses the Default Web Site. If you try to install CRM to the default settings, it will create havoc with CRM and the SBS intranet site. Check page 249 in the CRM implementation guide. "Colin Campbell" <com> wrote in message news:com... works fine on multiple clients however I can't access the webpage. When I try the URL http://localhost I get "Microsoft CRM - User Access Error. The System could not log you on...". I've followed all the steps for installing on SBS2003 and the Outlook clients seem to be working perfectly. |
