Try to show only tasks that contain the text 'Export' Posted: 06 Jan 2006 05:58 AM PST Hi Greg, You are very welcome for the assistance and thanks for the feedback. To show tasks with either a Task Name containing "Export" OR Tasks assigned to Tom: Try: First Row: Name equals *export* Second Row: OR Resource Names equals *Tom* To show only tasks containing Export AND assigned to Tom: First Row: Name equals *export* Second Row: AND Resource Names equals *Tom* If there are no tasks containing the word export that are assigned to Tom, the filter will return no records. Hope this helps. Let us know how you get along. Julie "Greggy" <com> wrote in message news:googlegroups.com... |
Posted: 06 Jan 2006 05:45 AM PST Hi Tommo, No, I know of no way to change the labelling. However, If you select one of the day or nigh calendar to show in nonworking time as I suggested, the Gantt will be shaded to show that shift's nonworking time. That's the best I can offer. MS Project Linked to MS Access Database Posted: 06 Jan 2006 05:43 AM PST Julie: Found it. So let me see if I understand what I read â" the "Project database" to which the page refers â" this can be an Access database, correct? It seems from what I read on PJDB.HTM that if I make changes to the Project files they'll automatically update the Project database. Can this be done with an existing Access database? In other words, do I have to create an entirely new Project database, or can I add updatable MS Project data to an existing Access database? Hope that made sense... LotB "JulieS" wrote: |

Posted: 05 Jan 2006 07:01 PM PST Hi Pete, You don't need to drag around the bars for a recurring task. Make sure you enter the time of day along with the date in the Recurring Task dialog. FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :) Mike Glen MS Project MVP "JulieS" <passport6847 at maine dot rr dot com> wrote in message news:%phx.gbl... |
Posted: 05 Jan 2006 05:15 PM PST Rod, thank you for the response. I'll do some searching on the web to look for addons. Can I sent up Project to use Outlook's calendar function to reserve resource time in a resource's calendar and then have Project send a meeting notice update if the project engineer moves the timing for task? Posted: 05 Jan 2006 02:21 PM PST Hi, Yes you could create a formula in a text field and show that one; see Format, Bar Styles. Posted: 05 Jan 2006 12:51 PM PST There are several ways to do what your looking for but for a short and quick way is to create a new Master Project. Do not put any tasks in this project just link in all the projects that you want to compare resources on. Then without any recalculations look at the resource views. It should show your the allocation for a resource across all the projects within the Master. Some people will disagree with this method but it is short an easy. -- Jim Reid, PMP "orflyg1rl" wrote: |
Resource Usage View - no longer works in 2006 (Project 2002) Posted: 05 Jan 2006 11:26 AM PST I was hoping it would be a corruption problem, and didn't know how to fix. I tried to correct using the instructions you provided (and even a couple other formats) and the same result occurs. This actually happend with all Resource reporting views. "Rod Gill" wrote: |
Changing availability -> automatic recalculation of task duration Posted: 05 Jan 2006 10:50 AM PST It recalculates the remaining work and leaves the actuals alone. Project recalculates PLANS, it does not re-write history. That is the prerogative of kings and rulers :-)) -- Jan De Messemaeker Microsoft Project Most Valuable Professional http://users.online.be/prom-ade/ +32-495-300 620 "MgFrobozz" <net> schreef in bericht news:googlegroups.com... |

Information about Projects themselves - not the detail. Posted: 05 Jan 2006 04:40 AM PST duzby -- Since you are already using Project Server, why don't you create a couple of custom enterprise Project fields to show the priority and commentary for each project, and then create a custom Project Center view in PWA containing those two custom fields? You could even use graphical indicators in the priority field. Just a thought. Hope this helps. -- Dale A. what do i do if ive lost my cd key code Posted: 04 Jan 2006 02:46 PM PST Neil, Your vendor should have a record of the software installed on the PC, from that you should be able to retrieve the key. However if the s/a was NOT pre-installed or supplied, then try your luck with MS. -- Dave Eade Global Project Solutions "silly boy neil" wrote: |
