Posted: 19 May 2008 01:49 PM PDT The physical size of the database is the sum of the sizes of the edb and stm files. The logical size of the database is the size of the edb minus the whitespace reported in event id 1221. It's the logical size that counts toward the size limit as of SP2. Exchange 2003 Disaster Recovery Posted: 16 May 2008 07:55 AM PDT "Andy David {MVP}" <com> a écrit dans le message de news: com... NICOLAS: I did that. Everything works fine: I can mount the database; I can see the mailboxes with the red cross. However I was unable to reconnect any mailbox, either on a new user created in the AD, or on a user with same name that I created from scratch in the AD (there is a "conflict"). I am not that good at playing with the Exchange attributes and ADSI Edit or LDIF, so I didn't go further. ExMerge doesn't work either; it just creates a tiny PST file. So, am I missing something? Is it worth to work on this some more time? NICOLAS: Yes. Ontrack PowerControls 5.0 looks fine (at least with trial version). I may go in this direction if the licensing is affordable. I am responsible for the maintenance and support of five Exchange Servers (Exchange Server 2003 SP2 or Exchange Server 2007 SP1 running on these servers). |
Exchange 2003 on HP380 G5 with 4GB RAM Posted: 16 May 2008 03:10 AM PDT We have tried to use the latest version of EXBPA for scan the exchange server with / without PAE. However, it haven't show any "Critical issues" or "All issues". It just show that PAE is a NON-Default setting. Best Rgds., ckcandy "Leif Pedersen [ MVP]" wrote: |
Tracking and monitoring Exchange transcations Posted: 15 May 2008 01:04 PM PDT If you would like a real solution forget that pull webmail solution. Why admin 2 systems or worry about purging messages. Take a look at Voltage Security. They have a couple of solutions that will help you out. Including a enterprise hosted solution that still uses push technology with mutli branding. On May 16, 12:22 pm, "Andrew" <com> wrote: |
POP3 email transfers to Exchange Posted: 14 May 2008 03:14 AM PDT Why so long? We're moving very quickly + we're small and we currently don't have a new static IP address where we're going. Tell me more about POPBeamer. So, no sync'g? Bummer? No utilities for synch'g emails back and forth then? Other ideas? TIA "Lanwench [MVP - Exchange]" wrote: |
Posted: 12 May 2008 11:33 AM PDT Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately, on checking, the user does not have cached mode enabled and there is no OST file to delete "Lanwench [MVP - Exchange]" wrote: |
