Hyperlink in Crystal Reports opens a new browser window Posted: 14 Jun 2005 12:33 PM PDT I've looked for this too. From what I have learned, this is available in Crystal 10, which isn't supported in CRM 1.2, unfortunately. I've simply resorted to instructing users to right click links and select "Open in New Window" :( -- Matt Wittemann http://icu-mscrm.blogspot.com "ericwassberg" wrote: |

Easy way to validate isv.config syntax Posted: 14 Jun 2005 10:52 AM PDT Good point dave, like everyone else on this group probably, I have also made a change to the ISV.config then restarted crm only to see a failure..I always test the isv.config on a dev machine before rolling to production. -- John O'Donnell Microsoft CRM MVP http://www.mscrmfaq.us "Dave Carr (dave- no com" <com> wrote in message news:googlegroups.com... |
Posted: 14 Jun 2005 09:56 AM PDT I have set it to run on SSL ports. It is controlled in the Host Header settings of IIS. Pierre Hulsebus EHTC.com |
Posted: 14 Jun 2005 09:03 AM PDT David: We use it extensively as we like it's implementation better than Crystal. We are going to add a menu to our CRM that will have our reports listed on it. The same goes for our clients. There is a SQL Reporting pack for CRM on the Microsoft site also that gets you started. -- Sean Fullerton MCSE,MCAD, MCT eMonarch www.emonarch.net "David P." <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:com... |

Cannot access workflow manager Posted: 13 Jun 2005 08:06 PM PDT My account has full privlages: enterprise admin, domain admin, schema admin, crm admin etc. I installed the program while logged in as myself. How can I run workflow manager from a workstation? Someone mentioned that you dont run it locally on the server? "Shashi" wrote: |
Posted: 13 Jun 2005 06:33 PM PDT Hate to disagree Sean, but CRM 1.2 definitely can associate a contact with a lead. (Actually, it's more like associating a lead with a contact, but...) When you convert a lead, there is a field called "originatingleadid" on the Contact that is populated with the lead that generated this contact. You can click on it in the GUI to bring up the lead record. This is a "one time" thing, in other words, you can't use it for recurring marketing activities, e.g.. But yes, Leads are designed to handle the "first touches" of a suspect. Web registration, trade show capture, CD of names all are good candidates for leads... Unable to save an attachment to note in CRM - HTTP 405 Posted: 13 Jun 2005 06:03 PM PDT Hi Rob, The attachment is very small and the behavior occurs for all attachments. We can not attach any files to notes or activities regardless of the size. It appears that this might be related to some IIS error or possibly Windows Server 2003 SP1. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Donna "Rob Bakkers" wrote: |
Posted: 13 Jun 2005 05:22 AM PDT Darryl, You'll need to set up (at least) 3 business units. The top level one is already set up, that should be where the main account is owned. Put people in that BU that can see everything throughout the corp. Create one BU for each sales rep. (If you have more than 1 sales manager, you'll want to get to at least a 3 BU deep structure). Set role permissions so that each sales rep can only read stuff in their own BU. When you assign subAcct A to Sales Rep 1, and subAcct B to Sales Rep 2, those records will be "owned by" the sales reps BU, and they won't be able to see each other's stuff. Warning: don't play around with roles and BU's in your production system, if at all possible! Moving records between BU's causes extensive SQL updates, which can impact performance. Ideally, all of the BU's and roles should be set up early in the dev process before much data is in the system. Good luck, HTH, Dave ------------------------------------------------- David L.
