Posted: 16 Aug 2004 02:49 PM PDT For WorkFlow, what you do is assign a "on create" WF to wait for the custom field to change to 1. When it does, send out a particular email template. Then, tell it to wait 2 days, then send out the next. And so forth. For post callout, you would create a COM object to handle the fact that the field has been updated to 1 and then pass the information to another application (a more sophisticated email application perhaps) that will perform the actual sending. SFOC: Only 250 contacts created Posted: 16 Aug 2004 11:43 AM PDT Microsoft CRM will only give you records that you have security rights to see. For instance if you had users in multiple Microsoft CRM business units you may have it set up so they can 1 - only see their own data 2 - see their own data+data in the business unit 3 - see their own data+data in their business unit and any child business units 4 - see all data across the entire CRM system How is your system configure for business units and security? -- John O'Donnell Microsoft CRM MVP http://www.microsoft.com/BusinessSolutions/Community/CRMFaqLanding.aspx "Dave" <nospam> wrote in message news:uKdx4F%phx.gbl... under |

Here is how to do it assuming your users SFO clients are in online mode 1) remove regvalues UserReplicationId and LastSyncDate 2) Set regvalue RCOffline = 0 3) Restart Outlook and try GoOffline -- John O'Donnell Microsoft CRM MVP http://www.microsoft.com/BusinessSolutions/Community/CRMFaqLanding.aspx "Te" <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:70a201c483de$0d4ec160$gbl... |

User license vs. Server license Posted: 13 Aug 2004 08:24 AM PDT Arni, You can add a Service license to a Sales only install. In reality, the "Server" license doesn't actually generate a key, the keys are only for the user licenses. So, there isn't a need to do a "new" install in this case. Matt Parks MVP - Microsoft CRM ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- On 16 Aug 2004 04:56:26 -0700, is (?rni ??r) wrote: Hi Matt, and thank you for your reply But it still doesn't quite solve my case. I understand that for Service functionality I need Service Server license. But the case I'm wondering about is that if a customer already has a MS CRM deployment that only contains Sales Server license and want to "upgrade to" Sales and Service Server license. For my best knowledge you can't upgrade Server license e.g. start with Sales server license and then later on add the Service license... can you?? So if I'm right you would have to set up a new deployment with Sales and Server license. And then my question is, can I use the user license already purchased for the first deployment or would one have to buy them all over again. If you can't move user license between server deployments, one would really have to be quite sure that Service functionality will never be needed before deciding to deploy only Sales server license.
