Installed Office 2003 Standard over Office 2003 SBE by mistake.

Thanks Anne for replying so quickly. I was hoping for a little easier fix.
Why doesn't Office recognize that there is a better or upgraded version on
the computer? Anyway, thanks again.

Thanks genius! What a revelation!

Listen, I know that... I just used Internet Explorer as an example. Why is
this only happening to users that have Office 2003 then?

Anyone else care to reply? Responses like those from G-n-O excluded.

I know for a fact that AOL has the directions for how to do this. I did it
during my last few months of AOL.

Office 2003 Pro Blew Up and I'm ready to give up

The KB's you sent over, I already looked into.

The first one was not valid: Can't make admin install cause I have Pro
Version not Enterprise, retry over and over again did nothing, and WinXP
is fully patched.

I finally copied the cab files from the CD to the MSOCache directory.
Install then went through.

I then patched Office will all relevant patches.

Clipboard in Office 2000

I was hoping there was a way to disable the clipboard toolbar
without editing the Registry, but looks like I'll have to.

How to Remove Office 2003

Posted: 14 Jan 2006 02:25 AM PST

Rather than uninstall and reinstall (which seldom fixes any problems) try
this:

For Outlook, create a new mail profile under Control Panl->Mail
Icon->Profiles.
For the SP 2 problem, use the FullFile rather than the smaller download.

After furious head scratching, Wijono Hadikusumo asked:

| Somehow I came to the situation, when I start the Outlook 2003, it
| does not start Outlook, instead it tries to do the "detect and
| Repair...", but only the first pop-up comes up, nothing else happens,
| I have to click "Cancel" to stop it.
|
| The same thing happens when I try to reinstall Office 2003 SP2. The
| OS is WinXP Proffessional SP2. Can any one help how to completely
| remove and clean Office 2003, and perhaps also the previous ones (I
| was using Office XP before), so that I can reinstall Office 2003?
| Thanks a lot.

I can't install from Office 2000 Pro premium product CD's

Posted: 13 Jan 2006 03:11 PM PST

Yes it literally says that. As a matter of fact, I quoted the error message
exactly as it came up. When I try to load only Publisher it has problem
installing some files. I hit retry several times with no luck, I end up
hitting cancel...
