Those that do have to look in to their own backyard for things that are out of place <s> The only thing that was at fault from MS concerning SP2 was the MU and WU sites that reported that SP2 needs to be installed when it was already done so. This has been corrected. If you still get this from those sites then go through the motion of installing it again and the issue will stop. -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged. can msocashe folder be deleted? what's its purpose? Posted: 21 Oct 2005 01:35 PM PDT I wouldn't remove this folder because it is not uncommon to find that when you try installing service packs, you are required to have your original media to complete the update. Office XP was a nightmare on upgrades especially when you want to put away your original media and PID from pirates and hackers which most offices have! Uk is the worst in this respect where you find that CDs go missing over the weekends and long bank holidays! ben wrote: |

Yes, we run a Distance Lesrning Course of MS Office, and with 1000+ students, have to still cover each version - you would be asmazed at what prtoblems the students come up with, and its much easier if we can emulate what they are doing and see what's on screen. Thanks anyway A |

PUBLISHER 2000 application does not open Posted: 16 Oct 2005 01:58 PM PDT Thx for your reply, Bob-- I am running Microsoft Small Business Office 2000, using only one login/profile. Also, Clip art, and anything to do with Publisher are set to run on local machine. Unfortunately, running a repair (both within Publisher Application, and with a new re-install from the CD), does not resolve the problem. Any other ideas? -chip- "Bob Buckland ?:-)" wrote: |
