You could do this using a public folder or create a mailbox that all relevant
users have access to and add it to Outlook. Global Calendars are common and
can offer many benefits. Depending on the amount of users you could perhaps
use the invite attendees feature that would update the calendar in user

What you will need is a POP3 Connector. Best is to google and choose

Is there any reason that all this mail is being delivered to the Unix
server and then you have to extract it? I could understand if all mail
was sent to Unix and then addresses that didn't match parameters on
the Unix were sent to this inbox for Exchange to gather but if
everything is going into one box then what's the point of popping the
mail?

place limits on mailbox size, by all means, go for Standard. But Enterprise
give you a lot more flexibility in the future not only with store size but
the ability to have multiple stores, cluster, etc. that I'd recommend it if

e-mail forwarding?

Posted: 15 Mar 2005 07:29 AM PST

What you might have to do to is on the executives machines create a rule that
sends all email to the secretary. Give the secretary permission to his mail,
and add his mailbox to her outlook. Now when she receives a forwarded email
from the executive she can read it over and then move it into his mailbox
inbox.

Yikes what a problem!!! Glad not to be in your shoes.

just another guess, but since this is a trial version on an oem installation
it may work.
If you end up needing the original installation media which you are entitled
to, call you system manufacturer and demand the recover disk(s). You should
do this anyway since your original installation of Office would be based on
the trial conversion if it works. You would need these disk(s) again if your
drive ever crashes and you need to reinstall after the warranty period.

As an enterprise customer you may be able to
acquire and use the OEM/system builder tools.
My understanding is that the ability to force
the CD key request through the Office Resource Kit
tools was removed with Office 2003.

You might be able to modify a reg key prior to
finalizing the CD so that it would prompt for
a key as a workaround, but you may want to
speak with the MS volume license folks on this
as well.

==========
news:com...
I do have an enterprise key. its just that I want to create an updated cd
for those in my field offices that need them on their laptops and are not
connected to our office(dial up is a pain), but I also do not want them going
install happy with the cd either. Since we use pcAnywhere to connect
remotely we can insert the key ourselves but updating office thru dialup is a
pain.

So basically there is no way that my company (we are not OEM) can create a
Office 2003 SP1 CD for our users without also giving them the key that would
be integrated if i start this as an admin install? I pray that there has to
be a way. >>

Tabs in OO.o is a wholly different subject.

I don't know even where the extension that added the tabs is any longer,

But to tabs themselves

Scripting Recipient Update Service

Posted: 07 Mar 2005 02:47 AM PST

> > The problem is not duplicate addresses, but duplicate display names. I

That's why I said display name, not displayName ;-). But there's a RP with
the template %r .%com. There's the connection between displayName
and proxyAddresses. Display names are formatted as "Firstname Lastname".

That means changing the user creation script, which I don't have access to.
That script was being used in one of the old environments as the main user
creation process, it takes differential exports from the employee database
and creates mailbox enabled users, puts them in appropriate security and
distribution groups and more. There's a new version of that script that will
be used in the new environment. Both versions rely on the RUS for
proxyAddresses population.

Thus, the script induces the creation of addresses I don't want plus
addresses I *do* want, like a couple of secondary SMTP addresses and of
course the X400 address. I *don't* want to throw them all away and script
them by hand because of the number of different Recipient Policies. And
writing a filter that leaves all wanted addresses in place is a hell of a job.

That's right. If you set targetAddress, clear proxyAddresses and trigger the
RUS, the address is added to proxyAddresses and the attribute is subsequently
cleared, whether it is a contact, mail-enabled user or mailbox-enabled user.
But what I was hoping for is that the RUS would validate the address when
moving it to proxyAddresses. I just tested that, and it doesn't. Setting
proxyAddresses directly gives the same result, so I'll do that instead.

Hi John,

Another way,

Select the row above which you wish to insert extra rows.

Hold down the shift key and press the PageDown [PgDn] button.

Fine-tune with the Down cursor button, until you have the
desired number of rows.

Select the Insert menu.

Select Insert Row.

The required number of rows will be inserted into the spreadsheet
at the desired location.

HTH,

Using Works Suite on another computer

Many computers still come with either Works or Works Suite installed.
Check to see what OEM software your new machine comes with before making
a purchasing decision. Also keep in mind that if you have any
installation issues or problems using your old OEM version, neither
Microsoft or your computer's manufacturer will provide any support.

You should probably consider upgrading to Works Suite 2005
http://www.microsoft.com/products/works/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=001 , if
your new computer doesn't include an OEM copy of it. You will get a copy
of Word 2002, plus the latest versions of Works, Picture It Premium,
Encarta, Money Standard and Streets and Trips. Considering the low cost
of this package ($99.99 here in Canada

Using Works 8 database in word?

If you have Outlook (not Express) you can do a great job of that. It can
print double sided pages that you can put together to make a book with quick
thumb access to the names. Go into Contacts : File : Page Setup and choose a
style.

MS Works 4.5; Missing Product I.D. Code

Posted: 11 Oct 2005 10:53 PM PDT

Hi,
You asked, "For example, is it contained somewhere on the installation CD
Rom?"
For what it might be worth to you, the CD Key for MS Works 4.5 that I bought
retail in a jewel box has the key on the back of the jewel box. It is not
the type of key that applications have now. It is much shorter, such as:
nnn-nnnnnnn. Do you find a number formatted like that?

Does the printer work fine with other applications?

Also check with Dell to see if they have updated drivers for the
printer. Even for new printers, there often fixes to the drivers by the
time the customers get the printers home.

*Note on Hurricane Rita *

I am requesting you send up a prayer for us, We live just East and
North of Houston Texas

We are expecting Hurricane Rita later today.

We riding it out, have boarded up the windows, and have supplies on
hand. I expect to lose all lights, phone, and Internet
later today. Last time we lost power for 3 weeks.

If you have seen the news, they have evacuated almost 3 million people
from Houston, it has been surreal here, I have never seen
them do this before. There are no stores open for 3 counties, there is
no gasoline to be had, banks are closed, the streets are empty.
The banks ran out of cash on Wednesday, the stores ran out of batteries
on Wednesday, Service stations ran out of fuel yesterday.
There are thousands stranded on the interstate trying to evacuate, I do
not believe they will all make it out in time.

I have done all I can to protect my family and friends, it is now in
Gods hands, which is where it has always been.

I have several of our extended family here with us, have boarded up the
windows. we have full gas tanks, supplies on hand
and will ride it out to see what the night brings. (I am also prepared
for looters if it come to that as well,)

We will be out of touch later today, and may be for several days or
weeks. I will let you all know when we are back up and running.

Thank you for remembering us and all of the people caught up in this
situation.

If any of you order the works templates from us, I will not be able to
respond to emails until this has passed. I will respond
to all emails when I can. I am signing off for now to make some more
preparations both here, and with my neighbors as well.

I will post again when I am able, after this is over.

Hi,

Please follow the steps below (:~:)

Step 1: Show hidden files, folders and extensions

- On the Tools menu, click Folder Options...
- On the View tab, choose Show all files under Hidden Files, clear the
check in front of Hide extensions for known file types and then click OK
to close the window

2.1 Search for the file:
- On the Windows Start menu, point to Search, and click "All files or
folders".
- In the "All or part of the file named" box, type "mswkscal.wcd"
(without the quotation marks).
- Click Find Now to search for the file.
