Know you what like it is when you read so many 2007 posts, they all just merge into one. So no, Exchange 2003 is purely 32bit. You cannot install Exchange 2000 on Windows Server 2003 64bit Edition, it's not supported. |

Posted: 07 May 2007 12:56 PM PDT Sorry its CWF not CWL IMF version 2 includes a completely new feature called the Custom Weighting Feature (CWF), which allows you to customize IMF even further. With CWF you can filter e-mail messages based on specific phrases within the body of the messages, the subject line or both. I need to know if anyone has experienced this issue with CWF filters? This not the only component to my Message Hygiene. I use CWF to Augment my environment, not rule it. So has anyone seen a CWF with SPACE before the filtered word causes the SCL to be a ZERO? It looks like this: <CustomWeightEntry Type="SUBJECT" Change="MAX" Text="EXAMPLE"/> Then a message comes in with a space before the word EXAMPLE and it gets rated a ZERO...] Thanks, Cactus |
Where does Exchange keep old account info? Posted: 07 May 2007 12:13 PM PDT Hi Excellent directions. That article pointed to another article http://support.microsoft.com/?id=909638 and using the /cleanrules switch resolved the issue. Thank you! "Terence Liu [MSFT]" wrote: |
Posted: 07 May 2007 10:54 AM PDT Yes, that´s correct. This is also the reason why you should 'expire' an account associated with the mailbox to get it to continue accepting email. You could also disable it, but then you would get into trouble with msExchMasterAccoutSID (and NDRs), thus requiring you to add SELF with the right 'Full mailbox access and Associated external account'. This is because Exchange changes the way it calculates permissions when it comes across a disabled userAccount. With multiple accounts you should try to get the NoMAS Tool a go but that´s a completely different story. In short - to get a mailbox to bounce mail with NDR = disable the accociated account. Smart Host running on non-standard port? Posted: 04 May 2007 09:02 AM PDT Somehow the thought of creating a separate virtual server for this did not occur to me... duh! That was exactly it, it works perfectly, thank you so much for the suggestion! Cheers, Virgil "Jamestechman" <com> wrote in message news:googlegroups.com... |
Exchange 2003 Log Files E00?????.log +- 5120KB Delete ? If yes how Posted: 03 May 2007 08:31 AM PDT On Thu, 3 May 2007 08:31:02 -0700, DCA <microsoft.com> wrote: That's a lot of files and means you haven't backed up your Exchange server for a very very long time. These are transaction logs which are used in case your current store breaks and you need to restore an old store. The logs contain all the email transactions between backups. Do a full, online, backup using ntbackup.exe and you will find that they disappear. It might take a good long while. |
Posted: 02 May 2007 09:52 AM PDT Thanks Mark, Do you know of any decent hybrid solutions then? (something that provides access to the data in the GAL, but can combine it with more data - maybe a www based one) Thanks Adrian Mark Arnold [MVP] wrote: |
Posted: 01 May 2007 08:43 AM PDT Hi, I presume from the Got It remark that you found you need the users to select the contacts folder, Right Click and select Properties, Go to the Outlook address book tab and select Show this folder as an e-mail address book. Cheers. -- Ian Mountain Gardman Limited IT "teddkilroy" wrote: |
