Browser window closes at logon Posted: 27 Apr 2005 06:49 AM PDT I think you are probably being burned by IE's popup blocking features. All the pages in CRM open in new windows, so that is why your browser just shuts down right away. I was able to fix this by doing the following: You need to disable the pop-up blocker in two places - Tools->Internet Options->Privacy (note the pop-up blocker section at the bottom of the tab) - Tools->Internet Options->Security, click Use Custom Level, then disable the "Use pop-up blocker" 2. Product Quantity Selling Option Posted: 26 Apr 2005 10:00 PM PDT Thanks Peter. But I think if you set the field "Quantity Decimal" in the product form to zero, it will do the same thing. (It won't alow you to have decimal for the quantity of the product in your invoice.) Sarah. "Peter Lynch" wrote: |
Posted: 26 Apr 2005 12:14 PM PDT Hi, Thanks John. In this case you say, Territory is most used for reporting and Can I use it for Accounts Categorization? If there is no sceurity, what the Terretory manager and users do on the account? Regards, Sassan "John O'Donnell" wrote: |

DMF : Mapping issue (concerning the ID Attribute) Posted: 26 Apr 2005 08:07 AM PDT Hi Michael, You are using the Data Migration Framework with the CDF tables. The id columns in these tables are integer columns. The generated guid which Brett is talking about, are in the tables which are used by crm, not the cdf tables. As you have found out, the id in these tables are integers. I do not have any experience with oracle databases, but it should be possible to map a number field to an integer. What tool are you using for getting the data into the cdf tables? If a direct mapping is not possible, maybe you can use some kind of scripting in the tool as you would do with DTS packages. Hope this helps you clear your mind. Just contact me at: com if you need more information. Kind regards, Ronald Lemmen Avanade Netherlands "Michael" wrote: |
ACT Groups - How Do You Handle in CRM Posted: 26 Apr 2005 07:43 AM PDT As I understand it - groups in Act are really just views in CRM. You can create any view you like -e.g list all accounts in IT industry. You can create any view you like and of course you can use Advanced find to filter by multiple criteria, the one thing you can do is to save your advanced find as a "Group". Take a look at the search pack add on from c360.com - this I believe allows you to create complex searches as save them under whatever name you want - which hopefully will give you what you need. Integration with Great Plains - how it works [repost] Posted: 26 Apr 2005 06:58 AM PDT Użytkownik "Brett meyer" <microsoft.com> wrote: Thanks. This is the information I was looking for. While everyone glorify this solution (may be fairly) I cannot find more information about it: what is the price, is there evaluation version, does it support national versions of GP/CRM.... Everything on their website is password-protected. Such kind of websites make me sad. Regards. |
Posted: 26 Apr 2005 06:41 AM PDT Thanks for your speedy response. No change was made in isv.config directly. I would really appreciate if you can let me know another alternative. Regards, -Sekhar "Support www.MSCRM-ADDONS.COM" wrote: |
Trying to Install CRM 1.2 Hotfix for XP SP2 Interoperability Posted: 26 Apr 2005 05:35 AM PDT Hi, This isnt the problem as I've tried both ENU and ENG and they both bring up the same 'Data is Invalid' error message. "Peter Lynch" wrote: |
Security Roles for Custom Functionality Posted: 26 Apr 2005 04:47 AM PDT The solution that was reached: We are going to create a new security role with none of the rights setup - the custom functionality will then look for the label for this role in the list of roles associated with the user - at that point the user will be granted access to custom areas based on the existence of the role. Scribe Insight help required..... Posted: 25 Apr 2005 02:26 PM PDT When you purchase the complete product you can download prebuilt Act to CRM DTS files that include all the mappings. You cannot use the evaluation software to do this. Brett "BizWorld" wrote: |
