DNS issue - my problem or theirs? Posted: 28 Feb 2007 07:23 AM PST jam.rr.com would not really need an A record. The MX record could be pointing to a hosted smtp server. I see this all the time. MX records for their domain poing to a number of different servers for rr.com. I was able to sucessfully open a connection via telnet for domain jam.rr.com. What is the error message for messages in the jam.rr.com queue? Steve "MJ" <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:com... |
Posted: 27 Feb 2007 03:52 PM PST Yes, you cannot install the Outlook Calendar Update Tool on a computer running Exchange or Exchange Mgmt Tools because of the conflicting versions of MAPI32.DLL on Outlook and Exchange. Finding .Net Framework 2.0: Recommend using a search engine or Microsoft's web site - it's not that difficult. Really. http://www.google.com/search?q=.net+framework+2&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a -- Bharat Suneja MVP - Exchange www.zenprise.com NEW blog location: exchangepedia.com/blog ---------------------------------------------- "teenzbutler" <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:com... |

Posted: 26 Feb 2007 09:17 PM PST wA stop 50 and a stop c2 scream bad driver to me. Get a kernal dump, then load it into the debugger and do !analyze. This should give you the most likely source of the stop. C2 is a bad pool caller which basically means there was an attempt to free a page thrat has already been freed. 50 is a call at a bad IRQ level. If you look down the driver stack, miniport, port, class, and filters, and of course clusdisk, one of the drivers in the path will be the issue. Don't forget AV filter drivers as well. OWA - require request receipt & read receipt Posted: 26 Feb 2007 08:12 AM PST You're right, either one would be sufficient. Delivery would show they received it, Read would return a "deleted without being read" message. I was hoping there was a way to enforce this in OWA, but apparently not. Mail Enable distribution List within Public Folders Posted: 23 Feb 2007 11:59 AM PST Not necessarily. The models are shared hosting and dedicated hosting, afaik. For dedicated hosting, you would need to set up customers in their own AD Forest for them to be in completely different Exchange Orgs, if that's a requirement. Using shared hosting, you can have different GALs for different customers. One way to setup customers is to create additional UPN suffixes in your Forest, and create users for a paritcular customer using their own domain/UPN suffix. This easily allows you to setup separate Recipient Policies for customers based on the UPNs. Additionally, the procedure to separate GALs for customers has been outlined in a few articles - requires setting up appropriate permissions on GAL for each customer.
