Outlook 2007 doesn't install when installiong Office Pro 2007

Posted: 27 Feb 2007 05:32 AM PST

Hmm. you should uninstall the outlook 2003 from the maintanence mode and then
make outlook 2007 available from the 2007 maintenance mode. That should fix
it.
To make available / unavailable Go to maintance mode from the Add/ remove
programs.and highlight the program you want and then click change. Goto
add/remove features.

Upgrade Office 2003 to Office SB 2007 w/Professional Trial

Posted: 26 Feb 2007 08:07 PM PST

hmm... you should have selected the option to coexist while installing.
Now dont worry. You can go ahead and uninstall office 2003. All data will be
safe. Then Go to add / remove programs and click on change for MS Office 2007
pro and then under Add/ remove features you can add outlook 2007. It should
automatically recognise and shouw up your mails and accounts. You should not
have any problems. The same applies to all the office programs.

Outlook 2003 running slow on Vista

Posted: 24 Feb 2007 03:02 PM PST

You can try a fix posted by a user who worked with Microsoft PSS on a machine that ran slow. The recommendation is to rename all .dat files (outcmd.dat, extend.dat, views.dat, etc.) to .old with Outlook closed and see if it improves performance. Especially if this is an upgrade reusing an older .pst file.

| I purchased a new Dell E1505 with vista preinstalled. I first migrated

Local Installation Source Tool for Office 2007

Posted: 24 Feb 2007 09:35 AM PST

Fine.
Unfortunately the installer of PP 2007 Viewer
seems to be MSI file - ppviewer.msi.
Not a setup executable, no setup.exe file.
I'm afraid, it's not possible to pass config.xml
to the installation process of PP 2007 Viewer.

I honestly don't know. I just know that I've seen others with that issue.
It's worth trying.

2007 trial fully functional?

Posted: 24 Feb 2007 07:43 AM PST

Thanks for the clarification.

From the Microsoft Office site:
Download a free trial
Download your choice of suites or programs from the 2007 Microsoft Office release from the Internet. Trial programs contain the same functionality that you get when you buy the perpetual versions — but only for a limited time.

Sounds like that person was ill-informed.

Is there a clear guide (anywhere!) on how to install office 12 \ 2007 via group policy using an *.msi?

Office 2003 Install The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way

Posted: 21 Feb 2007 07:53 AM PST

It turned out to be related to .Net Framework 2.0 . Once I uninstalled that
and then reinstalled it everything worked fine. The uninstall was not
pretty, it gave me the same error message over and over (same error message
as the subject line). Hope this helps someone.
