Works 8.5 Tables - pictures and text boxes in tables Posted: 02 Sep 2009 08:39 PM PDT Print the image on the badges first, then print the text. "rustydonnamae" <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:com... | I have been trying to insert a text box in a table cell and it just doesn't | seem to work. Also I can't change an image in a cell to a 'tight' text wrap. | Does it just not work, or is there a work around. | I am trying to make name badges. |
Where can I find out how to uninstall Microsoft Works Posted: 29 Aug 2009 09:06 PM PDT You can also download free CCleaner: http://www.ccleaner.com/ When it's installed, go to Tools and then you should have a list of programs you can uninstall. |
Posted: 23 Aug 2009 01:28 PM PDT Ron-- You can do this by inserting a watermark on your page. You can select positioning and scaling for the watermark, and then your regular text simply displays on top of it. Textboxes that overlap a watermark kind of mess things up, as they are non-transparent and overlap your picture with a big box (then again, that could be a way to crop the watermark). Watermarks by default are faded by about 80%--if you want your picture to appear unfaded, be sure to adjust the fade when you insert the picture. I tried it on Works 8.5, and it's pretty simple, provided that you're OK with using one of the 9 predefined image placements. If you really need the picture to be somewhere else on the page, you may have to resort to adding white borders to your image, so that the borders serve to move the image to where you really want it to be. --DaveLovesTrains "Ron" <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:com... |
Posted: 14 Aug 2009 09:43 PM PDT Pretty elementary question. I have a document saved on Microsoft Works on a thumb drive. I need to print the document on a different computer that has Microsoft Word 2007. It will not open up. -- Lesman "works locks up and part dont work" wrote: |

Posted: 04 Aug 2009 10:22 PM PDT You need to talk to the PC manufacturer. They are responsible for all support of all factory installed software. That's part of their contract with the software manufactures, including Microsoft. Most likely Works is included with the recovery disk they provided. Unfortunately, most of those type disk restore the PC to factory condition, losing any changes you've made since you took it out of the box, including all your data and any applications installed since then. -- Mike - http://TechHelp.Santovec.us "BJ" <com> wrote in message news:#$phx.gbl... |

I may have found an answer to this, although it does require an assumption on my part. When I created my documents originally, I used a template that came with works. These templates usually have an automatic date insertion upon creation. If these templates were created with the date in a "Header" box, this would cause the date to update itself each time the letter was opened. I guess I can assume that there is nothing to be done about it. Dave T. |
Works upgrade to Office Small Business 2007 help Posted: 14 Jul 2009 12:20 AM PDT I'm still wondering if there is an answer. I have the same problem. But I haven't broken the seal on my copy of the upgrade. Should I return it and buy the full version for $100 more? Where is Microsoft on this? "Ken" wrote: |
