Mail subject line-- How to turn off GUID? Posted: 01 Apr 2004 03:59 PM PST Can somebody paste me the instructions? I can't get into the Partners website. I found the patch for 1.0; but I'm using 1.2 Thanks, Do "Gary" <NOSPAM.com> wrote in message news:ej3$phx.gbl... |
Posted: 01 Apr 2004 10:10 AM PST There's one part of the MS site (not CRM) that says it will email some type of Passport key so I can verify I am who I say I am, but no matter how many times I request that email to be sent, I never receive it. . . so I can never access that part of their site (event registration). Oh well. -- Brandon IT Director Presentations Direct - Office Equipment & Supplies http://www.presentationsdirect.com "Gary" <NOSPAM.com> wrote in message news:phx.gbl... |

Posted: 01 Apr 2004 07:50 AM PST We've done this integration for our site but ran into some issues with the version of the SOAP protocol being used and ended up having to write our own wrapper for it. Seems that MS build their proxy classes and compiled with ..net 1.1. They were set to be compatible with the .net 1.0 framework, but used .net 1.1 framework interfaces so threw errors. The import function seems to be primarily creating a XML string and firing it at their web service. The structure of the document is laid out in the CRM SDK. Sales For Outlook through a VPN Posted: 01 Apr 2004 05:49 AM PST I think your problem is when you installed your SFO you didnt do the proper hostname for resolution over the vpn. Heres an example: LAN = http://crmserver WAN = http://crmserver.domain.local VPN = http://crmserver.domain.local So when you install the SFO and it asks for the website if you simply put in crmserver you may have a resolution issue. Try doing one of the following: Add crmserver = LAN IP into HOSTS Reinstall SFO = crm.domain.local The first would simply verify it does work over your VPN. The second would be better for stability down the road. That *should* do it. |
