The problem is with the "Kurdish (Turkey) locale". Please check
official sources, such a locale doesn't exist. I live in
Turkey and the only locale in use in Turkey is Turkish (Turkey). My
objection is to citing a 'Kurdish locale' in Turkey. This is not a
language issue.
As I stated previously, such information should be acquired from
reliable official sources, such arbitrarily made up false information does
not reflect well on an otherwise good product.

I've been using it for about 1.5 years. Supports many

you might check the content of the HTML page. Especially if there is a
table cell that exceeds the size of one page in Writer. In that case you
might want to adjust the table properties. Remember: HTML doesn't know
about pages.

Please don't reply to "de".
I use it for the OOo lists and only rarely read other mails sent to it.

How long does it take for Firefox to load for you?

On my P4, 512 MB on Linux, OOo204 takes under 15 seconds to
start with a document. OOo1xx used to take about 2 minutes
on a P2, 128MB laptop.

I guess thresholds vary, but with the latest versions and
recent hardware, it is so much better that I need to know
what version and what kind of hardware you are referring to?

If you are running it on a P3 or P4 Celeron with 128 MB,
everything probably seems slow. Or maybe I've just gotten
used to it? :)

Hope this helps.

I can understand your frustration but you need to moderate your
approach. This is a list intended for discussions on OpenOffice.org and
Open Source. Not user issues. This issue would be better on the users
list where more eyes would peruse it.

The majority of people prepared to help on both lists are other users
who have faced many of the same issues you are. Not paid helpdesk
personnel. Therefore a demanding, sarcastic post is likely to be binned
as timewasting by around 2/3 of users.

If my above advice does not help, then take a little time to unwind,
join the users list, and spell out your issue more clearly.
Is the issue with OO.o or Ubuntu or linux?
Can other applications see the flashdrive?
Can you copy data to and from the flashdrive readily using any other
app?

The gallery extension works fine at my first glance in OOo2.1.rc1 - only =

the (Hungarian?) names of some galleries ("Fot=F3k - N=F6v=E9nyek",=20
"Alakzatok") or gallery entries ("F=FCr=E9zfog", "Z=E1szl=F3k - N=E9metor=
sz=E1z")=20
could be translated one day...

Gallery and template extensions are easy to be integrated in OOo (just=20
click on "Add" in "Tools - Extension manager" and search for the .oxt=20
files), but there should be a hint somewhere to close OOo before you=20
search for the newly installed extensions.

As your website declares that all these templates and gallery items are=20
licensed under LGPL (you should update your issues with this=20
information) we should think about including *some of them* in the main=20
product.

The number of templates and cliparts is too large to include all of them =

while bloating the entire suite, but some more templates and clipart=20
are important for marketing OOo in comparison to it's competitor.

Where should the discussion about this integration take place?
IMHO the issues (http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=3D62405 =

and http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=3D62406) are not the =

right place - more people's opinion should be included.

So would it be appropriate to talk about this topic here?

Best regards

Bernhard

[discuss] OxygenOffice Professional 2.0.4 is ready for Download!

Looks quite nice!

Of course, understandable and well sorry but I can´t comment on the
state of any patches from you getting when upstreamed and which issues
might be currently blocking that as I am totally uninvolved in that
discussion.

Yes of course it´s a brand new feature of OOo 2.0.4! But that it wasn´t
there in the past doesn´t mean it might not be useful now.

Can´t help you much there sorry. I do see your problem after installing
your gallery extension, because I can´t read most of the theme names ;-)
Well I know at least that it must be possible because I think I did see
some of StarOffice gallery themes being localized.

This is a very special question where I think someone on
openoffice.org or openoffice.org could most likely
help you.

That should be somehow possible but I am not 100% sure if this feature
is already available in 2.0.4. You should ask that at
openoffice.org or openoffice.org. If the
feature is already there someone might be able to explain to you how it
works there.

As you already said the feature is very new. AFAIK an update mechanism
for extensions is something that is well still in the works but not yet
ready. But again on openoffice.org or
openoffice.org you can likely find someone to better answer
those kind of questions.

That´s a very fresh Wiki page and Wiki pages are always work in progress
maybe you can add that stuff if you found answers on the other mailing
lists.

Kind regards,
Bernd Eilers
