connectint to crm through a modem Posted: 23 Apr 2004 01:07 AM PDT If you expose the server through your firewall, you can do this. You need to open the port for the website (80 by default). When connecting, the users will be prompted for a login though. Currently, CRM requires a VPN connection to connect to the CRM server over the internet because it supports only integrated security and not basic authentication. I don't know if this will help, but good luck. |
Posted: 22 Apr 2004 08:23 PM PDT Hi Bill: If you are using an ASP.NET web application to allow the users to register, you could add code right to the app to create the new CRM leads via the SDK... Look in the CRM SDK documentation under CRMLead... John. "Bill Bither" <com> wrote in message news:google.com... |

quite confused about Crystal report version Posted: 22 Apr 2004 02:37 AM PDT CRM comes with licenses for the users to view reports. If you want to modify the reports or create your own, then you need to buy Crystal. Also, you need v9.2.2 specifically for this. Matt Parks ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- On Fri, 23 Apr 2004 09:01:31 +0800, "Hiway" <com> wrote: Thank you for your reply, Martin. That means standard CRM1.2 don't ship with Crystal Report licenses, and users cannot use the Crystal Report unless we got the license? If we got the special license, can we do customization ourselves or have to buy Crystal Report v9 or v10 and the users license in order to design our customized report? Haiwei "Martin Gallagher" <com.nospam> дÈëÏûÏ¢ÐÂÎÅ :com... Reports v9.0 but you will need to purchase the licenses from your usual sources to activate it. Crystal Reports v9.0 and use the enhancement patch that is available on your CRM server CD to configure it for Microsoft CRM. I believe this option will work for Crystal Reports v10 as well. responsible for customising reports as you would not want all users creating ad-hoc reports. |

SQL Server SP3a necessary for 1.2 upgrade? Posted: 20 Apr 2004 02:31 PM PDT "John O'Donnell" <com-nospam> wrote in message news:<#$yV#phx.gbl>... I found that one upgrade done with SP3a went fine. The other one done with SP3 had View display problems: Line: 35 Char: 1 Error: Object Expected Code: 0 URL: http://server/_grid/grid_data.aspx?--------------- Is this a coincidence or does the way SP3a handle certain data such as the views make a difference in the reason for this issue? |
