Posted: 04 Aug 2005 06:32 AM PDT Hello ! We have a Add-On "WordMailMerge for MS CRM 1.2" which gives you the ability to generate a Word Quote directly out of the MS CRM webclient and with a simple button click in word you are able to save to Doent back into the CRM. We have on our website a shockwave demo(Demo3) which shows you how this works with our Add-On. Also you are able to download a trial-version. -- ___________________________________ com www.mscrm-addons.com Your company for MS-CRM ADD-ONS! Personalise bulk distribution? Posted: 04 Aug 2005 02:49 AM PDT Ok, here's what you are missing: In order to send a mass email, you need to send it from the grid view of the contacts or leads. For example, if you are looking at the view "My Contacts" you will notice at the top of the list of names there is a button labeled "Actions." Clicking on this will reveal the option "Send Direct E-mail." This will open the Direct E-mail wizard, which allows you to choose the template, indicate if you want to send it to the selected contact or all the contacts in this view, and to choose the sender (yourself or a queue). You can also use the Advanced Find tool if you want to select a list that you don't have a view built for. Good luck! -- Matt Wittemann http://icu-mscrm.blogspot.com "Andre'''' M" wrote: |
Adding user / deployment manager Posted: 03 Aug 2005 09:27 AM PDT Assuming you are on the CRM server and can open Deployment Manager, localhost would point to the Default website on your SBS box. Open IIS and see if the Default Website has your CRM files or if there is another website called something like "Microsoft CRM Version 1.2." If CRM is in the Default website, localhost should bring it up. If there is a separate CRM website, you will need to add a host header. In IIS, right click the CRM website, click Properties. On the Web Site tab, next to IP Address, click Advanced. Click Add then select All Unassigned, 80 for the port, and crm for the host header value. Now, on the CRM server, open DNS and put a Cname entry in your forward lookup zone for CRM pointing to the name of your SBS server. -- Matt Wittemann http://icu-mscrm.blogspot.com "Mark Lewis" wrote: |
Creating user after big mess up Posted: 03 Aug 2005 08:55 AM PDT There's a reasonable chance that the problem comes from the admin account having been renamed. If so, I'd try the completely unsupported hack of changing the DomainName field in systemuserbase to reflect the new account Something like the following would do: Update systemuserbase set DomainName = '<new admin account>' where DomainName = '<old admin account>' <... admin account> has to be in the format domain\username As John says, before doing this, make sure you backup the MSCRM database "John O'Donnell" wrote: |

ISV.Config not recognising changes Posted: 03 Aug 2005 05:23 AM PDT Hey Rob, if you have some good info on using MapPoint that would be appreciated. I know it was talked about a few times around here but I never did look for it. We have mappoint on the server do we need to buy it for every user as well we like to be all licensed. How to see incoming emails within CRM? Posted: 02 Aug 2005 05:15 AM PDT I'm not sure if it's critical that the name of the queue match the AD name, but all the queue I've ever created were. I think the main thing would be to make sure the email address is correct in the queue settings as well. -- Matt Wittemann http://icu-mscrm.blogspot.com "Vadim Bogdanov" wrote: |
Need to change to Service account for CRM Posted: 01 Aug 2005 06:35 PM PDT Though this seems like a drastic step, I would actually recommend uninstalling CRM and then reinstalling and use the exisint database. The reason is that the install will ensure tha tthe service account is delegated the proper rights in AD to support ongoing admin access of the app. I have seen many an issue where the service account didn't have the proper rights and it's a bear to bebud down the road.
