Anyone using the MSCRM to Great Plains Integration? Posted: 28 Feb 2005 12:44 PM PST There are several hotfixes (they may be private so you may have to contact support to obtain them)which have been released and some which are still in development to address Australian (or Non US) issues. My impression is that MS is on the verge of re releasing the integration in Australia and will be officially supporting it (something which they have not done so far). The integration system requirements are extreme in my opinion and I would definately recommend installing it on a dedicated server. There are also several important pieces (in my opionion) missing from the integration which may or may not be of concern depending on your requirements. "setup was unable to register the security service" error on insta Posted: 28 Feb 2005 08:45 AM PST have you installed crm in this domain before? Also not the security service has a debug mode that you can read about in my faq below. Sometimes (not always) this can help track the issue down. -- John O'Donnell Microsoft CRM MVP http://www.mscrmfaq.us "Kastigador" <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:com... and would |

Hyperthreading: to use, or not to use Posted: 28 Feb 2005 01:41 AM PST We run SBS2003 on a Dual Xeon 2.8Ghz with HT and EMT64 (I wonder if we will see SBS2003 64Bit? !!) We have 2Gb ECC RAM. It runs pretty well, however we have a modest install with only 5 users. |
Posted: 27 Feb 2005 08:21 PM PST Thanks for the reply guys. I tried the Certificate tool and all checks up fine. After this I tried https://(servername):(ssl)/ssCERDA and that tested up fine where as when you use the crm site port no. not ssl port no. it doesn't work! But it does work in our office with https://(servername)/ssCERDA so it is weird. The environment is a SBS 03 server hosting the CRM and fileshare for the network. That was the funny thing there wasn't any errors until we ran the test pages... only a "cant find page" error. BUT now we have another issue maybe you guys could help with. The palm can resolve the test pages etc etc but when we attempt to sync the palm it crashes with the following error âA connection could not be established at this timeâ + âDevice registration failed.â Any Ideas? Posted: 27 Feb 2005 06:21 PM PST we all been new to crm at some point :-) ok when you launch a custom web app from say an account form, the custom code can get the ID of the account object. so using this you have a link to use to connect your new data in your new database back to the crm account now creating workflows against the new entity :-) well that would be a trick....i know it is possible to extend the workflow engine using the sdk but believe you are looking to some major development to do this. Currently I do not think this is possible although if anyone knows different I am sure they will jump in :-) -- John O'Donnell Microsoft CRM MVP http://www.mscrmfaq.us "Joseph" <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:com... to then to drawn our |

Posted: 25 Feb 2005 02:48 AM PST Thank you I restored the Databases I pointed CRM to the new Databases via Deployment Manager. If I try to Access Information via the Webinterface It gives me a Sercurity Error. If I want to open Deployment Manager. I get an Error "CRM system Admin privileges are required to use Deployment Manager." The only way I can get CRM back is to reInstalled it Why is this ?
