Can't install Office standard trial

Posted: 14 Nov 2005 06:17 PM PST

Hi

Thanks for responding. I'd already downloaded the cleanup tool and run
it. There were no listings to clean up. I am running the check
now.There were no problems.

Any more suggestions?

Regards

Alexa

It certainly did!! After reading "recipe", by brain "thawed." And yes,
I'm running Office Pro 2003.

Thanks very much for a prompt and perfectly accurate response.

Best wishes,
Richard

Can you find the CD Key on my computer; Office 2000 Prem

Posted: 10 Nov 2005 01:11 PM PST

If you have Office application still on the system then you can use this
small tool to get your CD keys:

http://www.magicaljellybean.com/kfbeta.shtml

If you have reinstalled Windows, as you say, then most likely you don't
have any applications on the system in which case I can't help you
except to say that you have to look for your old Cd case/sleeve on which
the keys are normally written.

Error 1919. Error configuring ODBC data source: dBASE Files. ODBC

I did go there and tried to download the following:
Install Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.8. To obtain MDAC 2.8,
visit the following MSDN Web site:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/data/downloads/updates/default.aspx
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/data/downloads/updates/default.aspx)

I received a message that the program could not be installed because it was
not supported by my current system? I thought that would fix my issue, but to
no avail.

Technet Evaluation Software - can't validate

Hello,

Thanks for your response.

I'm sorry that I wasn't more clear previously. Regardless whether the
source of the issue is technical or legal, the issue itself is in
relationship to product activation and is therefore a licensing question.
As such, this licensing question falls to Customer service to manage, even
though the specific problem that you're having may very well be related to
your DVD.

It seems like you've done a fair bit of deductive work with this issue, and
I would recommend that a next step may be to call Customer Service and
discuss the issue with them. They will be able to provide you with the
best next step.

Thanks very much for your understanding, and please have a nice day.

Best,
Dana
