Posted: 18 May 2004 10:58 AM PDT Contact MBS support and they will give you a download location for crystal 9.2.2. Note you will need to use your own license key to install it. I think you can contact crystal decisions as well and they will provide the same service "Matt Parks" <com> wrote in message news:com... |
Posted: 18 May 2004 09:27 AM PDT Well, from a clients perspective... it DOES look bad on a laptop with Virtual PC's. I had a reseller here with Dell's P4 3.06, 1 GB RAM, and two images - and it was... far to slow to buy it. When Microsoft does the DEMO on the product lounches, they do it without jumping from an image to an image, and they do not do 'crazy' things. They add a Contact, and such simple tasks, this is why it does work almost OK on thei DEMO's. But if you give the client the control of the laptop - so he sees how easy and fast it is - he will click on Customization, and your PC is stuck for 30 secs... I had two resellers doing hte demo for an hour and a half. And couldn's really evaluate if MS CRM is teh tool for us. So I wrote MS and we become a reseller as well. That seamed to be the quickest way to get teh installation to evaluate the product for our internal needs. So think twice about a laptop... :) "Fred" <com> wrote in message news:u2Go$phx.gbl... error accessing CRM from custom web page Posted: 18 May 2004 07:11 AM PDT The only users who can access crm data are domain users who have a crm license assigned to them. "fred caldera" <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:com... keep getting an http error "The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized." CRM... I disabled anonynous access in IIS but still it doesn't work. Is there any trick to make it accessible? Or to use a different user? |

Posted: 17 May 2004 07:36 PM PDT What!? I can't believe they expect that your oppurtunity and your quote/order would be different. Manual entry it is i guess. "lindad" <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:ea0b01c43ce2$5620c480$gbl... |
Posted: 17 May 2004 06:41 PM PDT Thank you Linda for your very informative reply. Are there any places you can point me to where I can get more detailed information on how contracts/lines work. There seems to be suprisingly little useful information on the user groups or on the net regarding this subject. Bruce "lindad" <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:<eac401c43ce3$6e8c7cc0$gbl>... |
Posted: 17 May 2004 01:24 PM PDT so I can understand I can't have adventure work cycles db for test purposes on the same server as the organisation db ???? Thank you. same DB. <microsoft.com> |
Assigning Sales stage to Opportunity Posted: 17 May 2004 07:49 AM PDT Nilesh the Actions-change stage menu option can be turned off through the use of security roles. Have you changed the default roles? also keep in mind that if you implement a sales process your users may decide that using actions change stage is faster then completing or cancelling multiple tasks per stage. You need to decide whether your users have to use the tasks as the actions change stage does not complete the tasks, it only changes the stage "Nilesh" <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:ecb301c43d06$0ee2f6f0$gbl... |

Posted: 15 May 2004 08:26 PM PDT You can use the data migration framework or write custom code. Actually if you have .net developers it may be a good exercise as its an easy task to bulk load data using the sdk and once you have created it for one type of crm object its pretty straightforward to do it for another etc "Rasmus" <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:com... a long list in Excel with all my Products, would it be possible some how to import this data? doesn't work because there are several fields that I think CRM has to generate the data for (or...?). Anyways, it's properly not a good idea to play around with the database like this. So what would be the "right" way to do this, if there is any? .... big. Is this really the most simple way to do a data import. |
Posted: 15 May 2004 05:35 PM PDT Something else to consider is the "user experience". It would be extremely annoying to the user to have the screen "refresh" when they clicked on another tab. Being a web page, the user would have to wait for the save and then click again on the tab they wanted to go to since the refreshed page would show the default tab. Indeed it would be really useful, but Microsoft does not offer this option. But i do think it is possible to add Javascript code to the aspx pages (for accounts SFA/accts/edit.aspx), which does run the save and close code before closing the screen. Don't forget microsoft is not supporting any of these kind of modifications. Good luck, Ronald Lemmen Accenture ----- Dave Allen wrote: ----- Is there any way to automatically save when changing tabs after working on a contact or lead? It's cumbersome to have to always hit the save button... Thanks! Dave |
