Text Upside Down in Greeting Card Wizard

Kevin,
What you say is perfectly true of the images and text that are in the
template itself. However, if you wanted to add text where the cursor blinks,
you would be writing upside down. Try adding text in what would be the
facing side when the card is folded.
Maybe all added text is supposed to be hand-written?

Hi Ellen,
you asked, where the data is stored...
Perhaps ist will not solve your problem, but it helped me because the file
was corrupt and could be repaired by ms access.

Greetings

Hello, I'm a senior on a minimum income. It was suggested that I buy MS
Works 4.5a because I don't have $40-50 to spend on later issues.

Well I looked all over the world, (I think, ) but I can't find one
copy. Can someone give a clue as to where I can buy it, even OEM would
be fine.

Thanks

Mike

Thank you, Michael. I think what we did was Save As and then added the .xlr
file extension. I will check out the formatting options and the formula bar.

Error 1935. ..'Microsoft.MSXML2,publickeyToken="6bd6b9abf345378f",

Posted: 26 Jan 2005 01:47 PM PST

The version of MS Works is 8.0 and I am getting this message when I am
installing the software. It gets to the point where it is registering the
software and then the error message pops up. the only option is to hit okay
and then the program uninstalls itself.

I used to use it not to long ago. But, recently I re-did my PC from scratch
and now not able to re-install works. I've tried all the steps that i found
on the web about the particular error number, i.e. troubleshooting with .Net
Framework, and still getting the error. I am not to sure if it something
Microsoft put into the software to check for registration, but it is keeping
me from installing. I need answers.

Thanks for responding.

$12 incl shipping.

You guys are great. Well, there's one moron out there, but he doen't
make the scene too often...he's so rude!

From Works 4.5 to 8.0?

If
can
my
great.

I have owned Works4.5a,Works6,Works7 and I could open any of the files
created in Works 4.5a with my later versions. From what I've heard Works 8
is just more of an update to 7 and it should open your older files easily.
Jeff
FWIW- Stick w/ 4.5a. Later versions are a cluster of separate programs that
cause major headaches when doing simple mail merges.

ms works 8 dic

Hi Jim,

Looks like Works 8 dictionary spell check is similar to my Works 6.0.

Thanks for your reply,
Ken

Hi Jim,

Perhaps Works 8 has a personal dictionary as does my Works 6.0.

Below is from my Works 6.0 help.

Ken
Add words to your personal dictionary
Why add words to a personal dictionary?
Works finds any words that do not appear in the dictionary. You can add words to a personal dictionary so that Works will not flag them as incorrect during subsequent spell checking.
When you add words to the dictionary, Works stores them in a personal dictionary file. This file is separate from the main dictionary. Whenever you check spelling, Works uses both the main dictionary and the personal dictionary.

Important Database, Spreadsheet, and Word Processor share the same dictionaries. If you add a word to your personal dictionary in Spreadsheet, the same word will be added to the dictionary used in Database and Word Processor.

When you check spelling, you can add words to your personal dictionary, or if you have words you want to add to the personal dictionary all at once, you can type one of the words in a document, and then follow the procedure below to add all the words to the personal dictionary.

1 On the Tools menu, click Spelling and Grammar.

2 When Works flags a word that does not appear in the main dictionary and you want to add it your personal dictionary, click Add.
-or-

In the Not in dictionary box, type the word you want to add to the dictionary.

When Works finishes checking the document, a message appears to let you know that the spelling check is complete.

3 Click OK.

Hi Lucille,

This article describes the file in which Microsoft Works Calendar
appointments, dates, and events are saved.

Thanks, Ken, but that didn't work. That showed up as my current
calender. Is there any other sort of link? Maybe it was an earlier
version, I'm not sure. Are there other extensions I could try?
