Cannot install Works Suite 2003

Thanks, but if you read my question this is not the error messages
that I get.
Is there any info available that is specific to the error messages
that I get?

Remove Works 2000 without CD.

Posted: 21 Jul 2004 01:12 PM PDT

I'm probably lost here but cannot you just follow these
steps?
From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then choose
Control Panel. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
In the list of programs on the Install/Uninstall tab,
find Microsoft Works. Click Add/Remove.
Confirm that you are certain you want to uninstall this
software by clicking Yes.
When the removal is complete, click OK in the
confirmation dialog box.

works to mail merge email?

Posted: 20 Jul 2004 01:22 PM PDT

You might try http://www.pdffactory.com/
This would convert your "printed" form letters to pdf.
Works will not create separate pdf files for each merged record (printed
form letter). That leaves you with having to only merge one record at a time
to email and then using pdffactory pro to automatically create an email.

As I said, I had this problem this morning and your message posted as I
was in the process of trying to find out how to prevent it. I believe I
have:

I already had un-installed the driver for the HP. I installed a virtual
connected printer on LPT1, and selected "Generic/Text Only" and finished
the wizard. Turned off both laptop and desktop, and then rebooted
laptop. Worked. Then I tested the system by trying to send something
to the HP (not on) and Netscape got a little pissed and went home, but
nothing else went wrong. I went down and turned on Desktop/Printer and,
again, everything worked just fine.

I really think this may be the answer.

Good luck.

Hi Charlie,

To "replay" your last few changes in Works 7 word processor there
is the Undo /Redo buttons, or <Ctrl Z> with, of course, <Ctrl Y>
the complement key sequence.

personal templates suite 2004

Posted: 16 Jul 2004 06:08 AM PDT

In the windows explorer tree under Microsoft Works
Templates, the template only appears one time as it
should. I only amended the original template, saving it
using the same name, to make a simple change. In the Task
Launcher, personal templates, the template now appears
three times as I have amended it twice. Although each of
the three is identical, I only need it to appear one time.
