User login

It is likely to be the native pop-up blocker in Windows XP SP2 or the pop-up
blocker found in things such as the Google toolbar. You'll need to disable
or add the CRM URL to the list of authorised sites.

Number of Records Supported

Many thanks for that JB. I have no idea about maximiser other than I have
had small clients with less than 5000 records have problems with it!

Wonder if anyone has any knowledge of what else out there would be good for
call centres?

other ideas?

Locate a list of Primary Contacts

Posted: 17 Oct 2005 05:24 AM PDT

Frank

I have taken a look at SearchPac but cannot see how I could construct the
query. I basically want to search for a list of accounts and then return
the details of the primary contacts.

Can you give me any pointers as to how I might acheive this?........anyone
else out there have a suggestion as it seems a pretty standard requirement.

Help much appreciated.

Exchange server performance and Active directory

Also, you don't really indicate how heavily taxed your servers currently
are. I did some stress testing for a client related to the router and they
found that it did not add that much overhead. But, if the existing servers
are already taxed, then a little can be significant.

Just based on 50 concurrent user and 100/emails per user per day - your
exchange (given decent spec) should not be a problem.

AD and Microsoft CRM v1.2 is very heavyly interlinked; v3.0 will be less
dependent. Just make sure you work with a partner that has lot of
experience
with v1.2 installation in production environment such as yours and it will
work fine.

Good luck.

can CRM be put on one server?

But the only "supported" way is via SBS. It can work without SBS, but you
could run into problems with support.

What's wrong with Fullname?

As Steffen noted, this can happen when you bypass the platform and run an
UPDATE directly against the SQL views. Doing so is unsupported, and you can
see why in this case. We do not recommend writing SQL statements that modify
the database in any way. There are too many places where you can get tripped
up.

Tablet PC problems and CRM

Posted: 16 Oct 2005 10:32 PM PDT

Thanks for the reply Rodger.
I am sure that there is no spyware but in saying that I am not sure what
else there could be so I will double check.
Looks like I am going to have to keep testing and re-installing.
May be a network issue (same client as the "E-mail issue in CRM" post below)
although it is weird that is has happened on only TableyPC's. Was there any
particular settings that you needed to configure to get it working initially?
Thanks,
Nathan

E-mail issue in CRM

Posted: 16 Oct 2005 10:25 PM PDT

Thanks for your reply Ben.
It does send through but it may take several attempts of, "go back" then
"send" again.
It is a very frustrating issue as this is the first site out many installed
(that is having this issue) and it is one of the larger ones.
I am leaning toward network issues at the moment, but how to test or where
to start is still to be determined.
Has anyone got testing tools or know of any good ones?
Thanks,
Nathan

Contact 'category' - any existing solutions?

Posted: 16 Oct 2005 02:48 PM PDT

Gerry, we found a workaround in 1.2. We created notes for different
categories like invitations for fairs etc.. These notes were created via
workflow rules.
By the way 3.0 will be really great!

CRM 3.0 Questions

Posted: 14 Oct 2005 01:44 PM PDT

To be honest, I am not sure about when it is being posted. I know there is
a build being sent out to a very limited number of partners for a crash
course of testing sometime this week. My guess is that this build will end
up being the one that is distributed in the "public" Beta, but I am
guessing.
