Wildcards and formulas

Hello,
No wildcard but a lot of text functions. Try the following :
IIf(Left([Name];1)="1";Yes;No)

Is there any way to show a moved milestone?

Why would you NOT baseline the schedule? That seems absurd given what you
want to do.

Microsoft Project 2005

Posted: 21 Sep 2005 08:01 AM PDT

There is not a Microsoft Project 2005. That much we know for sure.
The schedule that I've seen published shows private beta late this year
(this is when select parties get to try out the new features for the first
time) then public beta in early 2006 (wherein you typically sign up and can
download or get a copy) and then release sometime in 2006 after they get the
bugs out. I'm expecting it will be somewhat coordinated with the release of
the next version of office.

One good source for information is dieter z's blog.
http://blogs.msdn.com/dieterz/default.aspx

The features that have been publically announced include:
Multi-Level Undo, Recalc Change Highlighting, Server-Side Project Updates
The first two are of interest to desktop users. The server-side updates are
a HUGE change for project server. They allow you to recalculate the schedule
without a round-trip to project pro. This allows you to much more easily
allow schedule updates from other systems or through other means. I consider
this to be a big step forward.

Text Position in a cell

Posted: 21 Sep 2005 06:19 AM PDT

Hi Glen,

I assume you have increased the height of the row and wish to center the
text relative to up and down not left and right.

Sorry, that is not possible as far as I know.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Dependency Chain View or Report Available AnyWhere?

Insert one of the number fields. Put a number in the field for each line
item you want to count.
Go to the project menu, select group by.
group the tasks by finish date and set the interval to be month.
The month summary line should have the sum of the items in that month.

over allocating resources

Posted: 20 Sep 2005 06:32 AM PDT

I read this in a post here somewhere, if you open the assign resource icon,
and then filter by the group of people that are available/qualified to be
assigned to your task, project will only show you the people that are not
scheduled for work for the duration of that task... I hope this helps you or
at least give you an idea on what to search for here to help find what I read
about the same subject...
