Posted: 26 Oct 2005 09:13 AM PDT Note that this is only for External use. If users want to use OWA internally, as long as there isn't a firewall limiting traffic/ports between the servers, they will be automatically redirected to the correct server. Externally, that redirection can't take place because BE servers use the internal FQDN/IP to redirect - that obviously won't resolve to an external client... -- Ben Winzenz Exchange MVP MessageOne "Bharat Suneja" <org> wrote in message news:phx.gbl... |
OWA - SSL - Form based Authentication Posted: 25 Oct 2005 10:34 AM PDT I disabled (unclecked from IIS) SSL from the back-end server... but still the same result: The internal users can see the FBA form and can send/receive email with no problem.... But the external users can see the FBA form but can't login to their mailbox Sound like a authentication error. after some seconds they will see the "page cannot be displayed" and on address bar: https://mail.domain.com/exchweb/bin/auth/owaauth.dll |
Can I automate the process of adding Exchange mailbox in outlook Posted: 25 Oct 2005 02:17 AM PDT Client side: You can use ProfileMaker from DesktopStandard (formerly AutoProf) to automate creation of Outlook/MAPI Profiles for users using Group Policy. Server side: Creation of Exchange mailboxes for existing users (aka "mailbox-enabling users") can be scripted. -- Bharat Suneja MCSE, MCT www.zenprise.com blog: www.suneja.com/blog ----------------------------------- "Katie" <Katie@question> wrote in message news:phx.gbl... |
Posted: 24 Oct 2005 04:29 PM PDT BigHaig thanks for the response We are unable to manually attach invoices to an email as in the "normal" way one would do this. I think it's the way MYOB works, there is no visible folder in the MYOB diectory that contains completed invoices that you could browse to and attach to an email. However you other suggestion works, just did the following as an experiment Opened an existing invoice with MYOB and instead of sending to the recipients email address I sent it to one of my email address's [admin@<domainname>.com.au] When the email arrived 20 secs or so later I then choose forward, and sent it to my hotmail address, sure enough there it was in the inbox - esale.pdf, wereas before it was listed as Winmail.dat but was unopenable. Hopefully we are close to resolving this issue now and you will be able to give me a sollution to the problem, don't want to have to keep doing it the way I described above. cheers Robert "BigHaig" <com> wrote in message news:vhA7f.1662$news.pas.earthlink.net... |

How can I mail-enable 2000 contacts? Posted: 21 Oct 2005 11:45 AM PDT In the meantime I bumped into Amit Zinman's article too. Weird fact is that obj.MailEnable did not work for me, so I had to manually set the properties in my script. The problem is solved now, but I will investigate why MailEnable did not work. Thank you very much! "Bharat Suneja" wrote: |

Messages sent are shown with a different time Posted: 21 Oct 2005 10:21 AM PDT ESimon wrote: As Mark pointed out, your clients need to be set up properly for the correct time/date, time zone, and daylight savings time settings. Then make sure Outlook is set up properly too (tools, options, calendar options). I'd make sure your DST settings are 'automatic' on all systems - you shouldn't have to be doing this manually. |
Posted: 21 Oct 2005 08:05 AM PDT Dear Mark, Thank you for your update! Unfortunately, the attachment was blocked by the antivirus software on your Gateway server. Can you zip it and resend it to me? At the same time, can you confirm whether PPC 2003 works. If possible, could you please create a test account for me so that I can test it from my side. Moreover, since it is an FE/BE environment, please send me the log files on both sides. Thanks and I am awaiting your reply! Posted: 21 Oct 2005 07:55 AM PDT Sorry, my english is not the best. I ment that he can't receive inbound mail from external mail senders. We've got an Exchange 2000 server. All our mailboxes have restrictions at 100 mb. After that size is reached the user cannot send mail but still receive. No other restrictions are set. "Ed Crowley [MVP]" wrote: |
