Posted: 06 Sep 2008 03:12 PM PDT Alternative to Diane's suggestion: Control/Right-Click the Word icon in the Dock & select "Open at login" to remove the check... That's normally how it get's accidentally set in the first place :-) HTH |:>) Bob Jones [MVP] Office:Mac On 9/6/08 6:12 PM, in article com, "Ross" <microsoft.com> wrote: |
Office 2004 license upgrade from single to three Posted: 06 Sep 2008 11:44 AM PDT If you are a student or teacher, you can purchase the Student & Teacher Edition. Otherwise, it might be less expensive to buy the Office 2008 Home & Student Edition, which includes three license keys. I don't think there is an easy way to buy a small number of licenses at a discount per-unit price. If I remember correctly, it creates a folder and moves all the messages to this folder. I haven't seen this error since the beta. I'm not sure this script will still work. You are correct run only scripts can't be opened, but they will work from the Script Menu Items folder. -- Diane |

Office 2007 Home & Student fails to installupdate - Keeps saying Close Word Posted: 05 Sep 2008 09:36 AM PDT Hi Dave - Take a look at Word> About Word to confirm the current version. If it's less than 12.1.2 follow the link Diane pointed you to. Although it isn't a bad idea to keep a record of the Product ID found in that same dialog it doesn't have anything to do with installation or updates. The Key on the disk envelope is what you need for installs & you need nothing for updates. The Product ID is only needed if you ever contact MS directly for support, disc replacement, etc. Regards |:>) Bob Jones [MVP] Office:Mac On 9/7/08 10:33 AM, in article caR9absDaxw, "com" <com> wrote: |

DELETING WORD DOCUMENT IN NOTEBOOK LAYOUT VIEW Posted: 04 Sep 2008 12:58 PM PDT Your all caps is killing me, did I say something wrong? There are icons in the lower left hand corner, I recommend print layout. It should convert the file back for you. |

Upgrading to Leopard, but saving Office 2008that's already on my disc? Posted: 03 Sep 2008 01:18 PM PDT Sorry, the drag method won't work if it did you'd wind up with only one copy of Office getting dragged to every computer on [and off] campus :-) This may be different for a volume license, but normally: If you still have a record of your Product Key (what you paid the $20 for) you should be able use any Office 2008 Full-Version installation disk... Just enter your code when prompted. That won't work for an *upgrade* version, however, unless you also have an older version installed or have the disk for a full version of one. Like I mentioned above, though, I don't know if volume licenses are keyed to installation sources or not. If so you'll have to have Office reinstalled as it was originally (and they'll probably charge you another $20 if you don't have your original license key).
