Difference between SBS and Standard? Posted: 27 May 2004 04:32 PM PDT You kidding me? When I was looking into it, I was told that while you can convert the server license into full product server licenses, you cannot convert your CAL's. Was I misinformed? Should I open up a can of whoop-ass on my MS reseller? :) "Mark Arnold [MVP]" <org> wrote in message news:com... server SBS Business |
Multiple Storage Groups using one public folder set? Posted: 27 May 2004 03:58 PM PDT Any limit to the number of storage groups then? and will the public folder be viewable to all storage groups by default or do I have to setup permissions for that? Thanks! -- SCOTT MCDONALD "Michael Barta [MSFT]" <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:%phx.gbl... Nope. The public folders will be available to everyone regardless of which storage group they reside in. Each storage group can have 5 stores. One can only have 4 if you have a public folder store in it for a total of 20 stores. -- Michael Barta [MSFT] Microsoft Exchange Support Please do not send e-mail directly to this alias. I just noticed that for each storage group, you can only have 4 mailbox stores. I need about 9 mailbox stores, but I want them all to have the same public folder. So because for each storage group there are mailbox stores and public stores I thought the public stores would only show up for people in that storage group, is this the case? -- SCOTT MCDONALD "Michael Barta [MSFT]" <microsoft.com> wrote in message news:phx.gbl... Are you asking if you can have multiple storage groups with mailbox stores that all use the same public folder store? If so, yes, this is how it works. If not, can you give us a little more information? -- Michael Barta [MSFT] Microsoft Exchange Support Please do not send e-mail directly to this alias. This alias is for newsgroup purposes only. Posted: 26 May 2004 07:27 PM PDT How would we run Perfom? Start/Run? Also, what is AV? It seems like the inetinfo.exe process is running at about 600MB and still climbing. We have noticed that our queue has a lot of spammers trying to pass through our server. What is the best way to stop this from happening? We are new to setting up networks and are learning as we go. Is there an article out there that would enable us to lockdown the server from outside spammers? We are running a Windows 2003 Server. Thanks! the performance of also be caused by any issue with the any) past from fixed |
