Adding a Freight field for Order Items Posted: 24 Feb 2004 09:46 PM PST Hi, Where in the schema is the JS event code data stored for the pickuplists? Is it possible to do the same for other text fields. I mean as an unsupported mod. regards rojer "John O'Donnell" <com-nospam> wrote in message news:uqdbWR2#phx.gbl... ie, |

Posted: 24 Feb 2004 09:17 AM PST Yes, it does make it difficult to test! That kind of stuff always seems to slip by MS though! If you have a Professional CRM license, then you would have gotten an extra license for the Integration (which you could assign to the admin account). Posted: 24 Feb 2004 08:41 AM PST No problem. You're not the first to ask for this particular migration assistance. Hopefully it will be something they provide in the not to distant future. It's shame that MS doesn't have an adequate migration tool for their own product. Thanks again for the assistance. Keith to do a table that has an unique GUIDs, a to write a have be |
Is it possible to duplicate an opportunity? Posted: 24 Feb 2004 06:47 AM PST Hi Mehek, the easiest way to do this is to not do it. What I'd suggest instead is that you have your page create a new opportunity (using the SDK), and then have your page instantly redirect to the opportunity form, passing the GUID of the new opportunity you created as an "oId" querystring parameter. The user can then edit this new opportunity in the standard opportunity window. Look up url addressable forms in the SDK for help on redirecting to the opportunity page. Posted: 24 Feb 2004 03:42 AM PST Daniel I dont know if you actually not how to get the data to your app but the idea is you use the ISV.config to tell CRM to passparams to your app so you can work out the calling account or CRM object. to get the id of the object that made the call use this line string id=Request.Params["oId"]; so stirng id will contain the objectid or guid of the calling object ie the crm form you launched your code from. As the other guys say you need to use the guid and let the other app query CRM to extract the account number. Posted: 23 Feb 2004 07:42 PM PST Not sure if it's supported or not, but when you delete a record, all it does is set this field to 2. As you know Gary, a lot of what you need to do with this product is not "supported", but I should have put that disclaimer on the post. Error - The specified Microsoft CRM server is not responding Posted: 23 Feb 2004 03:49 PM PST Michael, Thanks for the help. Here are the results. I kept the same numbers are your original post.... 2) Typing http://crm/mscrmservices/bizusersdl.srf in Internet Explorer produces an XML page. 4) IIS-> Microsoft CRM -> MSCRMServices-> Properties--> Virtual Directory tab ->Configuration->AppMapping has both ".soap" and ".srf" listed. 6) Dragged and dropped c:\Program Files\Microsoft CRM\Server\Bin\Crmisapi.dll to WINNT\System32\Regsvr32.exe to re-register the dll file. 7) The IIS Admin Service is running under the LocalSystem Account. Unfortunately, nothing has changed, and we still get the same "The specified Microsoft CRM server is not responding......" popup error. Any other ideas? Lloyd |
