How to get a CRM 3.0 beta trial version? UK. Posted: 09 Sep 2005 01:15 AM PDT The beta started a very long time ago. They have progressed through the Alpha version to TAP1, TAP2, and just this week TAP3. Customizations made in TAP3 will be exportable to future releases of MSCRM (Say RTM in Q4'05 and GA Q1'06). So my belief is that the product is ready to roll. The product will be made available to partners the first week of October to demo and load in "TEST" environments for customers to begin retrofitting customizations, etc. This early access code is not upgradable to RTM so production usage is not supported however, like I said the customizations are transportable. Look for good things. Very nice release. They have listened to their partners and customers. Best of luck. "Gorm" wrote: |

Posted: 08 Sep 2005 07:58 AM PDT Can you start up the deployment manager? In that case, you should try to add a new user. This user should be member of the 'System administrators' CRM Group. And give this user the best licence available. Then login to crm with this user and give the administrator a licence and role. Another way is to obtain the admin pack. Hope this helps, Ronald Lemmen Avanade Netherlands "Yexy" wrote: |
Posted: 08 Sep 2005 07:15 AM PDT Max, I don't think there is such an addon for sale directly. You might want to take a look at the C360 tools. Otherwise you will have to contact a MBS partner to build this for you. Ofcourse I would advice you to contact Avanade (www.avanade.com) :-) With kind regards, Ronald Lemmen Avanade Netherlands "Max" wrote: |
Crystal configuration manager fails to start Posted: 08 Sep 2005 02:43 AM PDT Elena; Have a look at article 901226 on the PartnerSource/CustomerSource knowledgebase. It talks about DEP (Data Execution Protection). When I had the problem with Crystal and SP1, it was beacuse of this. It's a simple fix if this is the cause of your problems. Hope this helps.. Posted: 08 Sep 2005 01:41 AM PDT All text in MSCRM is unicode, that is why each character takes two bytes. MSCRM 1.2 puts all custom fields directly into the *Base table, there is no extension table. This will be fixed in 3.0. In addition, MSCRM 1.2 uses tion for SFO, which adds some overhead to each table, and this further reduces the available row size below the SQL Server 8K limit.
