Posted: 04 Dec 2004 06:25 AM PST Guy Riddle (Snapdragon) wrote: Hi, I discovered the following. This could also take away any concerncs for the AD administrator. When you install the CRM Server using a (domain user) service account, this service account gets rights assigned on the AD subtree for CRM. So when for example you change a security role within CRM, the CRM server will change the AD. Regards, Merijn van Mourik |

Bulk email issue when assigning leads Posted: 03 Dec 2004 02:30 PM PST Cathy, That would definately work. The thing is though, that wouldn't work for Leads that were "re-assigned" as they could be a few days old. The Workflow engine is designed to operate on a single record. As a result, it is going to operate on every record. In your case, you don't want it to operate on a single record, you want it operate on a set of records. It just isn't setup for this. Not sure the best solution for you, but I would hope that yoour sales people are qualifying the leads fairly quickly. If that's the cse, then they should be able to see the Leads when they appear in their list. Would the only simple workaround be to set a default Lead view sorted by the Date Created field and train salespeople to check for new leads from the view? First installation succeded but I can t add a user or ..... Posted: 03 Dec 2004 09:27 AM PST Thanks, IIS Server is setted with integrated authentification only, and I created one user in CRM with assignation of roles and licences. Dou you mean that if I install CRM 1.2 my problem may be resolved? For the moment, I still have the problem. Soufiane. "Nick Doyle" wrote: |
Posted: 03 Dec 2004 07:33 AM PST The map kicks in when the form is initially displayed (yes, that's prior to actually "saving"). However, the map that is used is dictated by where you are when you choose "New Case". If you select "New Case" from the Case tab on an Account or Contact (or the Add Related Case menu), then the map from Account (or Contact) to Case will be used. obviously, there ar e a lot of objects that can be created "from" an Account. That is the various maps you see under Account in Deploymenet Manager. However, I am confused. 1 If I create a case(before clicking save) and add a product to a case, does that mean this case already existing ? 2 You said only 1 mapping will take effect. However I saw in the account there are several builtin mappings. If only 1 mapping is valid, why microsoft create so many mapping in the account ? Appreciate you great if you could follow up and help me "Matt Parks" wrote: |

CRM Outlook Client - Access Denied Posted: 03 Dec 2004 04:36 AM PST John, Must say that I have not run into this problem myself. I could have sworn that I've seen that as an "official" pre-req for SFO, but now in looking quickly back through the IG, I don't see it. Matt Parks MVP - Microsoft CRM ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- On Fri, 3 Dec 2004 15:30:16 -0800, "John Song [MSFT]" <microsoft.com> wrote: (Wow, I get to meet Bill Gates in the newsgroup! ;-) ) Actually, CRM client should work across Domain. Matt, I know you have done lots of deployments, have you seen some cross domain issues? Let me know. Bill, you said there was not trust setup between the two domain (is it actually two forests?), you will need to set that up, otherwise it won't work. Try that and see if it works. Make sure that your DNS has entry for both domain, so the client machine can find it as well. "Matt Parks" <com> wrote in message news:com... HELP: COM+ Callouts, or rather COM- NothingOuts :) Posted: 02 Dec 2004 09:07 PM PST Thanks Freek, I caught that right after I submitted that post. I've updated the interface GUID, recompiled, and reinstalled, but still no luck. Do you see anything else I might try? Anyway to change the field mapping for CRM to SFO CRM Contact form Posted: 02 Dec 2004 01:59 PM PST I thought about that and tried updating the form for a user. That default page is not the most customizable. Worse, I do not want to do this for all of the user individually and then if the servers form ever gets updates, will it then write over the local form? More importantly, why would Microsoft ever ignore the direct dial phone number. Seems like a VERY important piece of information to me.... "Support www.MSCRM-ADDONS.COM" wrote: |
