cannot download Office xp on new computer Posted: 19 Jun 2006 01:29 PM PDT Does it maybe say 'cannot find a qualifying product' if so it means your version of OfficeXP is an upgrade version, and it cannot find a qualifying product to upgrade from. Posted: 15 Jun 2006 08:09 AM PDT I have it working on Vista build 5384, Office 2007 Beta 2 and Exchange 2003. Why don't you state your specific problem to see if someone has an answer. You might also want to post in an Outlook/Exchange group. microsoft.public.outlook and/or microsoft.public.exchange.clients for instance - these are the groups that have the experts in those programs rather than the generic Office groups. Also, it helps to include the previous post so we can SEE what the problems encountered were. Not all of us browse the news groups on a daily basis so snipping the OP's comments does no one any good. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Posted: 15 Jun 2006 06:19 AM PDT Hi Bob, I have now sorted it out. I had extracted it using the switch but under Vista it kept only extracting half of the files but said the extraction was finished. Solution was to extract it on a xp pro laptop and burn the files to a disk. The install is appears to be running fine now Thanks for the sugestion anyway Dan "Bob Buckland ?:-)" wrote: |
