- What determines the timestamp on messages
- Exchange 2003 OWA Move/Copy Functionality
- E-mail Server
- Removing Disclaimer Footer for some outgoing emails
- moving from Exchange 5.5 to 2003 and blackberry server
Posted: 02 Feb 2005 02:53 PM PST Thanks very much Bob, We have no Exchange 2000/2003 servers in yet - we still run 5.5. We are prompted to select which server rather than storage group to host the mailbox. But again we only see this in some cases. Thanks Mike |
What determines the timestamp on messages Posted: 02 Feb 2005 01:41 PM PST makes sense, what time is displayed in the outlook message list window ? "Tim C" wrote: |
Exchange 2003 OWA Move/Copy Functionality Posted: 01 Feb 2005 10:39 AM PST Thanks Mark, Can you point me to information on Microsoft's web site that talks about using RPC over https? Also, I heard the requirements for this were actually Exchange 2003, Office 2003, and Windows XP w/Sp2? "Mark Arnold [MVP]" wrote: |

moving from Exchange 5.5 to 2003 and blackberry server Posted: 29 Jan 2005 08:43 PM PST I have just done this a couple of weekends ago. 1. Give the Besadmin account permission on Exchange 2003 - -you will need to delegate âView Only Administratorâ permissions to BESADMIN at the Administrative Group level. Also Assign BESADMIN âAdminister Information Storeâ, âSend Asâ and âReceive Asâ permissions to the Exchange Server security properties in addition to those already inherited from the Administrative Group level for all servers hosting user accounts destined to be BlackBerry users. 2. Move the BESadmin to Exchange 2003 server http://www.blackberry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/8021/8149/8064/How_To_-_Move_the_administration_mailbox.html?nodeid=72292 8&vernum=2 3. Stop the blackberry services and move all the blackberry users mailboxes. 4. Start blackberry services. If you want to move the blackberry to other server you have to install BES on the new server using the same settings as the original server e.g ⢠Windows service account ⢠ï*Microsoft Exchange mailbox ⢠ï*MAPI Profile name ⢠SRP Identifier ⢠SRP Authentication Key ⢠BlackBerry Enterprise Server name Then before you start up the services on the new server, stop the blackberry services on the original one (if both server are running the services together you account at RIM will be locked out). If you are using Windows 2003 you have to download MSDE from Microsoft web site. Hope this help and sorry about the earlier post I accidently hit the enter key. |
