Re-Inst Problem

Hi Josh,

Did you try ejecting the Office 2000 CD and insert the Office 4.2 CD
when asked for a qualifying product? For Office 2000 you should be
able to use any Office 4.x edition as a qualifying product - the
editions do not have to match.

Pam,
Have a look at this KB article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;314810&Product=off2003
It may help.

Office 2003 OLA vs. Office 2003 personal copy

Posted: 26 Aug 2004 05:53 PM PDT

Chris,
Do I first go to the control panel and use the remove/add
program feature to remove Office 2003 and then run the
Uninstall Cleanup Utility or do I simply use the Unistall
cleanup utility without using the Add/Remove feature?
Thanks,
Joe

P.S. I have the .pst file in a separate folder on the
hard drive. Is that okay or should I move it to a jump
drive?

Never mind, I figured out that the name on the banners can be corrected in
Options, and I guess that was the only issue. I'm not sure whether it
always displays the serial number/product id from the most recent
installation, but I don't care anymore......

Anonymous,
Correct to date on the oem difficulties for Office 2003.
Dell, from our experience has the best support via email if you provide
specific answers to questions for warranty replacement and as well being
persistent.
For oem versions of Corel sofware problems, who does the customer contact?
Would the op go thru the same channel to resolve this?

Have children to look after,
