Microsoft Works - Colour in calender

Colour in calender

Posted: 04 Nov 2004 07:08 AM PST

Hello -

Unfortunately you can't manually change the font colors in the Works
Calendar. However in the new Works 8 calendar you can create different
calendars for different people - each calendar uses a different font color
for its appointments...

MS Works after SP2

Hi JanV,

I do not have a solution for the problem, but thanks for letting us know
it's an OEM version.

Good afternoon,

bad news: I tried repairing Works 2000, apparently some files are missing
for a reinstall, and a box kept popping up (error 1308) during repair
process
saying retry, ignore or cancel. The repair couldn't continue, when I hit
cancel, a box popped up saying "fatal error with installation", whatever
that
means.
It's an OEM version, it seems there's no update for it.
Does anyone know if I uninstall it (instead of "repair"), will I be able to
reinstall?
I don't want to lose it forever, although I don't use it much without the
features I've been trying to get back. The only cd's I have are restore
discs.
Thanks for your input,
Jan

Numbers range from 250 up to 2000. I need to convert money in figures to
money in words. However i can manage without "Euros" coming in to it such as
twenty five euros. There is no cent at the end. Its all euros.. Kindof a hard
one to call but see how u get on. thanks again..

word processor document does not indicate page numbers

Hi Dakota,

I have Works Suite 2001 whick includes both Microsoft Word 2000 and Works
Word Processor 6.0

Previous info was how to display "Status Bar" for my Microsoft Word.

For my Works Word Processor the "Status Bar" can be turned on or off by
clicking View on it's menu bar then selecting Status Bar.

Hi,Ken,
Didn't work. "options" and "view" are seperate in my version of works word.
Clicking "options" does not offer "veiw" to click, and I can't go from one
to
the other. The "statis bar" no longer exist...period! I have no idea why.
The
problem does not reffer to page numbers typed "in" the document. I think
that
I need to recover the "statis bar".
But how?

WINDOWS XP & V4.0a

Well - honour is due.!............. Many thanks indeed for that little
flywheel......

I will check later through each of about a million applications we run
but I am here, hot foot after making "staff-view" in Cakewalk Sonar
3 scroll (IntelliPoint optical) - just added the application - and it works

If there is one thing that cheers me up more than finding myself fit and
healthy, rich and surrounded by accommodating ladies - it's software
which actually works.........

At the moment I am beating MsWorks One-Nil....... I am just tuning
a Macro which looks for the correct response to File | print (a box
called "print") and if it doesn't find it - it starts again....

There are about 3 failures in ten - but the macro can open MsWorks,
a standard letter-head (or fax page), page of special characters, two
envelope templates, and large address label template in about 20
seconds so a restart now and then is not too much of pain....

I have asked all over the place about a little widget app which could
fix scrolling - and Flywheel was never mentioned..

Once again - my thanks..

Does it synchronize with Smartphone?

Posted: 02 Nov 2004 12:24 AM PST

Hi Tak,

Perhaps these help:

Windows Mobile-based Smartphones, Pocket PCs, and
Pocket PC Phone Editions all come with a cradle that attaches
to your desktop PC via ActiveSync.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/about/faq.mspx#5

Works extends ActiveSync to synchronize with an external
device with Works becoming the source of the data.

GDIPlus.dll vulnerability

Aldus sprak Kevin James - MSMVP Works op 21-10-2004 18:30:

Deatr Kevin,

the site you mention does not really help.

Have look here:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topict3077.html

I downloaded the program "gdiscan.exe" and found that my Works 7 is
vulnerable to the jpeg bug.

I do not understand why MS's gdidettool.exe is not made to detect this.

Shame on Microsoft.

Keep up the good work!

Erik.
