f they have deployed Exchange 2003 then they should (obviously you'll
need to ring and check) have deployed RPC over HTTPS. I say should
because it's great functionality and a big marketing win, not should
in the sense of it's there by default.

I'll second Lanwench's advice...Blackberry Enterprise Server is a heck of a
lot better than the Desktop Redirector (I've set up both). Plus, there is a
Small/Medium Business Edition that includes 5 licenses for $999. I
know...it's still a lot for one person, but maybe you can think of a few
more people who could use a Blackberry. If a grand is still out of the
question, then the Desktop Redirector is your only option, AFAIK. It's a
program that runs on a computer that has an Outlook profile of the mailbox
in question. It monitors the mailbox and sends/receives messages
accordingly.

ADC exchange2003

Posted: 07 Sep 2004 02:18 PM PDT

yes 1 exchange55 in place.

Are you sure the ADC setup does not look for any AD value/feature that is
increased by either exchange2003 setup /forestprep or exchange2003 setup
domainprep?

I meant domain basis what is needed? what if after installing ADC i go ahead
an upgrade the domain from windows2000 to windows2003, will this corrupt the
ADC schema mods?

Exchange 2003 SMTP "bombing" - HELP

Posted: 07 Sep 2004 03:32 AM PDT

Hi Michael,

hostname.ro is not our REAL name, I have changed it in those logs due to
SPAM inquiries.
And the problem is that OUR SERVER is QUIT-ing , not the corespondent :

MY Server open a SMTP connection
REMOTE Server says 220 ..
MY Server says EHLO to REMOTE Server
REMOTE Server says 250 ...
MY Server then say QUIT ! (instead of MAIL FROM ....)

More than that, the REMOTE Server has no time to say ALL the 250 Answers he
is able , because MY Server says QUIT :

250-mail.focusadv.ro
250-PIPELINING
250-SIZE 25000000
250-VRFY
250-ETRN
250 8BITMIME
