I was usin Word 2003 in XP on my old PC. Now I have a new laptop with Office 2010 and can't set the default WORD doc to the format I use for all uses. I have researched this problem in the community and have followed the instructions to change the Default Normal.dotm and nothing works. I have been trying for over two months Can anyone giv help. I'm getting to the point where I won't ever buy or recommend another version of Office. Dick Gar |
Posted: 07 Dec 2012 08:04 AM PST In word 2003 I was able to create documents with portrait pages, then landscape pages, then portrait pages; add a header & footer with a different first page and the page number sequence was continuous throughout the document. How do I create this in Word 2010? |
Word wont save documents I have created in .doc or docx format Posted: 07 Dec 2012 07:38 AM PST Word does not save the documents I have produced as .doc or .docx. When viewing these saved files in windows explorer it does not have the Word icon that usually appears next to the file name, just an icon that looks like it has a sheet of writing on it and when you click on the file the message "To open this file windows needs to know what programme created it" appeares and I have to select open with Word. Question "How do I get Word to save it's own documents" |
