It’s right but in French translation "Numbering outline" is "Numbering
chapters". it’s not intuitive!

[discuss] Question about installation

Posted: 28 Feb 2006 11:56 AM PST

Le mercredi 1er mars 2006 03:56:28 +0800, Tony Dean écrivait :

If you are using a .deb distro like Debian or Ubuntu, you can simply
install any rpm with this command:

alien -i *.rpm

If you are using a distro thant can't use any rpm nor deb, you can open
any rpm with mc (Midnight Commander) by selecting it, Enter, select
CONTENTS.cpio, Enter and simply copy the different directories while
retaining the same tree structure.

Wil this help you?

Yes, would Sun transfer the developers to the foundation? Would the
developers want to be transferred with perhaps different working
conditions?

There are ways round these issues but its going to be a bit more
complicated than just saying let's set up a foundation and carry on work
as before.
