Installation/repair problem

Posted: 01 Feb 2009 11:44 PM PST

I followed the directions but now I can neither install or uninstall Office
2007. What else can I do to remedy the problem?

Where did you obtain the previously functioning version from?
Presumably if MS gave you, today, a new key you must have provided proof of
purchase?

How do I get a 25 character key when installing Office97 on Vista

Posted: 01 Feb 2009 05:13 AM PST

You dont have to install a qualifying vesion in order to install an upgrade
version, you simply need the qualifying version cd available to point to
when your upgrade instalation complains about no qualifying version
(swap cd's authentiacate, re swap and continue)

How many times do you think you should be able to use a free trial? Time to
pay for the program.

Product Key Issues Diffrent from Previous

Posted: 31 Jan 2009 03:06 AM PST

Alias posted a link to an app that will reveal the product key, provided
Offfice is still installed
If your laptop has been 'recovered' then you would need to contact the
laptop supplier to asertain where the key is

Product Key doesn't work

Posted: 30 Jan 2009 08:26 PM PST

I had a problem with Vista Home Premium; my hard drive was wiped clean and
Windows Vista Home Premium (a new copy) was installed. I then installed all
my other programs including Microsoft Office Standard 2007. The Product Key I
obtained when I purchased this software (it is genuine) does not work. I also
do not have a Product ID. What do I do?

If you uninstalled on one PC, or that PC is no longer available to run
Office (and it wont be if you changed the hd) Simply install on new PC, if
neccessary use phone activation & explain old PC died

Parameter for uninstallation of Groove

Posted: 29 Jan 2009 12:26 PM PST

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your reply, but I'm actually just looking for the command line
parameter/switch to use with the Office 'Setup.exe' to uninstall Groove. Our
network, servers, OS and group policy settings should not be relevant because
the Office setup file is the same regardless of the environment.

The question is, does the Office setup executable have such a switch, and if
so what is it.

It seems that in the mean time I have found another solution. The Office
Setup.exe appears to be a wrapper for multiple MSI files - one for each
component of Office. Therefore I will just use the Groove MSI file to
uninstall Groove by deploying it through System Center Essentials with the
"Approved for uninstall" option.

Thanks,

Jake.
